realnucksfan2010
I would like to know how so many "Canucks" fans seem to writting the season off and our up coming cup run? The team has fallen asleep I know, however you all do need to realize that our Canucks are the deepest team in the NHL at every possition period!!!!! This little speed bump that we are going over is absolutly no cause for concern. To start we have the best two tenders in the league, Lou, granted is strugling but will come out of it you can take that to the bank, and cory is absolutly AWSOME! The edins and Burrows have slipped but will get back to form, this has happened to them before and they came out of it as strong and leathal as ever, they will do it again. Big Zack is going to be amazing for us, he has size, skill, and a mean streak that will only benafit whom ever he plays with, he just needs time to mature, and what better way to get that maturity then to play with Lappy or Malhotra? The Amex line is unreal, just imagine is AV leaves them alone for a while longer and they get some real chemistry, look out!!!! We also have the deepest "D" corps in the NHL right on down from Edler to Rome to Ballard to Salo, to Hammer, To Bieksa, to................. You get what i am sayin. I went to the Coyotes game last month and it was so quiet in GM place, what is up with our fans? I know we want the cup, I know the team wants the cup, and we all know that there will be bumps along the way, so why is every one so down on the team? I think it is time for us fans to stop scrutinizing the the team so much and just enjoy whjat they bring to the rink night in and night out, I love watching my Canucks play win or lose, so what is wrong with the rest of you??? Ṣpiderman
If they do win the cup, it'll be a surprise for me. I haven't thought they had what it took since 3 weeks prior to trade deadline even though we were 1st. Don't like how they're playing. Maybe my expectations are just high but I don't like the effort and style they've been presenting. If they do win the cup, I'll be the first to admit I was wrong about the team. I just haven't been persuaded enough by this team throughout the season to make me believe they can outplay teams in the playoffs. I think Booth will have a decent playoffs because of where he scores his goals. They're all around the net, and he isn't afraid to take it to the net hard. It's funny when he stated in a post game interview "Daniel scores pretty ones, I just get ugly ones." Booth doesn't realize his style of scoring is what excels in the playoffs. What I don't see is the same swagger they had last season. I really thought they were going to win the cup last year because of all the confidence the team had. oldnews
they are experimenting, not killing themselves when it makes no sense to, and are looking forward - I think people are over-reacting to recent results that don't matter much. One sign - they have shown up for big games...
Hockey Fever
The chemistry has been screwed since the trade deadline, and they better hope they can get it back by the playoffs. Also we don't have deepest defence in the league, you take Salo out and you see what happens. There's a possibility they make it to the western conference final but no further. realnucksfan2010
so what are you saying "hockey fever" that the fate of the team rests solely on Salo being healthy and in the line up? the last time i checked hockey was and is a team game!!!!! so Ballard and Hammer and Bieksa are not relevent? CowtownCanuck
I've seen them back into the playoffs, scoreboard watching for the other bottom feeders to not gain points on us in other years and still had faith. This is just another speed bump, am I concerned, Hell Yes! But I'll be there win or lose.
Spitfire_Spiky
Not gunna be a bandwagon fan who hates the Nucks because they are losing but I am realistic and if the Canucks don't start playing with more heart and determination they won't make it far come playoffs. mabbott
it doesn't matter how bad they've been playing all season ( even though they've been winning) they have a ticket to the post season. They need to pick up there game when the time counts. It"s almost as they've been skating half asses all season so they have that extra juice in the tank to make the long run. I believe Go Nucks Go
KiwiAd
10 games left in the regular season, and we are 3-5-2 in our previous 10, is that not something to worry about??
supermanbieksa
We have many reasons to be concerned, though I do believe in this team to go all the way, we've just hit a giant speed bump, but my guess is that the team is chilling before the playoffs to have more juice left. realnucksfan2010
In short all of you do have some valid points and I just think that if we really get behind our team and cheer loud win or lose we just might provide the spark of faith that they need to "bump the slump" I know from being in hockey for 18 years that the fans can and do make a difference. So CHEER LOUD AND BELIEVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and they will win the cup!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have no control over what AV and the players do so just have fun watching and cheering!!!!!! GO CANUCKS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
