Canucksbiggestfan
It was made last year? Meaning after the Japan earthquake?
Jester@wraiths.ca
It wasn't the earthquake that caused the damage in Japan.
Don't.Mess.With.Kes<3
weird how this video came out a few days after the massive earthquake in Japan. Wouldn't think that two massive earthquakes would occur so close together

ManUtd
Listen man, I understand that you are not interested in fact, but if you watch this program, you will be dealing with fact. Mud core samples do not lie, they simply tell us what has occured, again and again, about every 300 years, and what they tell us is that sets of massive earthquakes occur over, and over again, and we are now right in the middle of the current set. There WILL be either 1 or 2 more and the west coast is next in line. Watch the program, the mud core data is highly reliable. http://watch.discove...e-we-there-yet/</p>
D-Money
Don't really have to worry about a tsunami if you live in the lower mainland. But on the Island, that's a different story. If you work/live in downtown Vancouver, you should make sure you or your employer has enough water and foodstuffs on hand to comfortably survive 72 hours...even longer. That's because a major earthquake is likely to take out every bridge except Granville, which will then be used only for emergency response. Iron_Gland
And Aliboy, whilst I'm sure there's some science behind the mud samples, these documentries or whatever you want to call them are known to often exaggerate by using scare tactics, which increases the number of views and in the end, ratings. Discovery Channel/History/etc have had shows about massive earthquakes/meteors/etc for years. Its nothing new. Plus not much you can do other than be prepared (like people said, bottled water and food supplies) the best you can. Beyond that, worrying doesn't help. You could have a badass bomb shelter stocked with food at home, but if you're stuck downtown when the earthquake happens, that doesn't really help you at that point. AK-47
pretty sure this is an old video, but we are due for an earthquake asap (meaning anywhere from the 26th or next 200 years) (still a very small window geologically speaking, but massive window human life terms) to predict a date like that? ridiculous, its not possible, its hard enough to predict what decade even century an earthquake , let alone the exact day and year dont buy it into it folks! aliboy
I think I remember something about mud core data, and 300 years being the smallest gap between major earthquakes here. Emphasis on "smallest gap". The last major quake here was 300 years ago.
