I have been impressed with MAG's talent level and I hope that eventually someone behind the bench realizes that he would be a much better fit on the point during a PP than Kesler is at the moment. oldnews Posted March 31, 2012 Share Posted March 31, 2012 The assist was nice and he really has great vision with the puck on his stick - but his last four games have been wins in which the Canucks have given up only three goals combined. His forwards have been supporting him, but still, he has been part of some stellar defensive games, and his individual defensive play has looked better - he has the odd giveaway, but he isn't getting caught up ice, uses his speed to retrieve and move pucks quickly in his own end, and seems to be fitting in much better. I think he has some very solid guys to play with and learn from, and if he continues to minimize his weaknesses, he sure has an obvious wealth of upside.
