Will We Have Another Marchant Bobbleheading Sedin Playoff Run Again This Year?

With the company they're in this year, I can honestly say I don't know if the Bruins or Nucks will make it into the finals. Such a powerhouse of teams this year and a few sleeper teams waking up at the right time.

It'll be stressful but fun to watch everything unfold. Jeebus I love this sport.

Kassian wouldn't "kill" Marchand because he wouldn't fight him. Do you seriously think the likes of Chara, Thornton or any of their heavy hitters would stand back and see a big guy like Kassian paste Marchand. This is Boston we are talking about.

Kassian doesn't need to fight, he just needs to hit and hit hard...........then if the opponent can't take it and wants to fight that's up to him. That is what Volpatti does and that is the way it should be.

Clean wrecking ball hits and stay out of the sin bin, that's the way to beat these teams. Fighting should just be the threat of fighting. We have more of it this year with Kass, Bieksa, Lapierre, Bitz, Alberts, Volpatti if he's fit and Ballard if he feels the need and is cleared by the medics.

I still think Daniel should have turned his back on Marchand. If he is not going to fight (and I have no problem with that ) don't stand there looking like you have a breaking point when you obviously haven't. It did him no good.

2001	6th defeated 3rd 3rd round	3rd defeated 6th 2nd round

2000	3rd defeated 6th 2nd round	3rd defeated 6th 3rd round

that's the history of the 3rd vs 6th matchups since the turn of the century:

3 cup appearances by those teams (2/3 6th place teams, 1 3rd place team- the only 1 to win the cup)

7 semifinal eliminations only 2 of those teams being the 3rd seed

everyone else was eliminated in the second round

6th seed won 5 times in the east, 4 times in the west, for 9 out of 22 matchups
