Bilbro Baggins
This is just for fun, try not to flame too hard. To Florida: Roberto Luongo Chris Tanev To Vancouver: Erik Gudbranson Drew Shore Why Vancouver does this: They trade Luongo to a team that he would definitely waive his NTC to play for and get rid of his cap hit. He loves Florida and could push their team in to contention. The Canucks receive Erik Gudbranson, a young, right handed defenseman who is a big presence at both ends of the ice. He would look great beside Alex Edler. The Canucks also recieve Drew Shore, a two-way forward prospect who looks ready to make the jump to pro. With trading Hodgson, Schroeder is the Canucks' best center prospect. Shore would make a nice addition. Why Florida does this: They receive an All-Star goaltender in Roberto Luongo who could help mentor Jacob Markstrom the same way he did with Cory Schneider. Dale Tallon knows that the 2 goalie system has been effective for the Canucks, so why not give it a try in Florida? The Panthers are only a few missing pieces away from being a serious contender. Trading away Gudbranson hurts, but they get a young defenseman in Chris Tanev who has proven to be effective at the NHL level. He could step in and fill the shoes of Gudbranson. Tanev does not have as a big of an upside as Gudbranson does, but he is arguably more consistent. Thoughts?

Spitfire_Spiky
I would love to see Luongo get traded simply for the fact i believe Schneider is a better goalie. The trade in my eyes makes sense. Both teams fill needs without losing too much. Get r done MG!!!

NAILED-BY-THE-HAMMER
considering are past relationship with florida you cant automatically throw this out as a possible destination for either of our goalies.I wouldnt mind kulikov coming here i wonder who tallon has more faith in and is higher on the depth chart kulikov or the mammoth gudbranson. bossram
This deal just doesn't really make sense for either team. Florida isn't really looking for a goalie. They don't want to deal Gudbranson or Shore and I don't we're particularly interested in them. I'm thinking a deal would have to be something like Schneider for Kulikov for it to be worthwhile for both teams. However I can't see that happening. ButterBean
Florida should be fine with Theodore and Markstrom as their tandem. Gudbrandson would bring a mean presence to our blueline but from what I know he's only a 3rd pairing defenseman right now. Too much upside to give up from Florida's POV right now.
