Tangerines
I'm going to go on and say Luongo>Quick. Lu has way more playoff experience, and has proven he can perform and be clutch in certain situations in a series. I even think Schneider is at least equal to Quick. sdnucksfan
I disagree with this one. I think it's closer then (Not even close). You make it sound like Quick is at a different level, maybe this season, but don't undersestimate Luongo.
Merci
Canucks in 4. No more Johnson, Doughty is half his former self, Richards and Carter arn't gonna do crap in the playoffs when the going gets tough. They're ready to be done in April and party in L.A. with their millions. Quick is going to get lit up after we've realized dirty goals win championships. The team has 2 hours of travel, they know if they sweep it in 4 no matter what nashvillechicago/detroit will be more banged up then we are. I think the team is experienced enough to know when to go for the kill, get ready for a dominant win Wednesday at home.
DownUndaCanuck
A lot of you clearly don't understand inequalities so I'll break it down for you. > means greater than, or better than. So Edler > Doughty means Edler is better than Doughty. < means less than, or worse than. Now go read the OP again. I don't remember the last time the posters' intelligence on CDC was so blatanly embarassed like it has been from one simple concept.

hf44
And just based on the regular season, Quick is by far the better goalie of the two. Quick has 35 wins, Luongo has 31. Quick has an 0.929 save %, Luongo has an 0.919 save % Quick has a rediculous 1.95 GAA, Luongo has a 2.41 GAA Quick has 10 shutouts, Luongo has 5 shutouts. The only difference-maker is games played and playoff performance. Luongo is far more clutch than Quick, and Quick has played 68 regular season games - 13 more than Luongo, so fatigue will definately become an issue if this series goes the distance. However fatigue and "clutch performances" can't be measured, so based on what can be statistically compared, Quick is the better goalie.
jimmyking8888
Doughty is better than Edler. Kesler and Richards are a draw.

samirjaver
edler is NOT better than doughty... and going player-for-player comparison has NO impact on this series. for example, boston vs us last year. depth is what wins cups, not flashy superstars. Hotdawg
Goalies numbers are a reflection of the defense infront of him as well. Halak and Elliot got great numbers this year because St.Louis has a great defence. If those goalies were on Tampa or any other defensively challenged teams, their numbers would be below average. bossram
If the games were played on paper like this, we would have won the Cup. I'm not going to speculate or make judgements. The boys' play on the ice will do the talking.

Underachieving Hero of CDC
Luongo's GAA and Sv% are ranked between #13 and 16 leaguewide. Quick is top 5 in both stats. He's a very dangerous guy to have in the opposing net.
