Baercheese
We're witnessing the next Pittsburgh right before our eyes. They need to take Murray though, no doubt

We're looking forward. We've got this pick and we've got the possibility of LA's pick, too."
Stizz19
Ugh, that's awful. Oilers are going to annihilate everyone in the league soon enough.. RNH, Eberle, Nail, Hall. You've got to be kidding me..

shiznak
Yup, by the time the Oilers "develop", all their players will be done with their rookie contracts... who knows what happens after that.
Pears
I laughed when I saw that. But I'm happy that Yakupov's career won't be wasted away in Columbus.
soshified
How can Oliers beat out CBJ who nearly had 50% chance of winning the lottery? Not only that but 3 years in a row? Lol

Greene02
Now they can trade Hall for a dman and still have a deadly first line in the future
Greene02
They can't afford all those players on the team at the same time. 2 years from now Eberle, Hall and RNH ELCs will be up and they cant afford to pay 16-18 million for 3 players when they need defence and depth. hsedin33
How the fu** does that happen... I feel bad for Columbus. Hey Tambellini, must be nice eh, sucking so hard you get 1st round pick year after year after year...
George_Costanza
What a joke. Screw Edmonton.
UFCanuck
With a few years they won't need any big name d-men. They'll simply score more goals than the other team, back to the 80's type hockey. 9-8 games galore.
The Hornet
meh, it didn't really help them out the other two times.
goblix
That was crazy! I thought Columbus would've definately got number one, but I guess Edmonton gets it again! Wow! Yakupov, Nugent-Hopkins, Hall, and Eberle. Wow! Just wow! Be afraid of Edmonton in the years to come.
NightHawkSniper
WOW IMAGINE THEIR LINEUP IN 5 YEARS. On the other hand, I wonder if they'll be able to keep all the young guns?
Steve Carell
The Blue Jackets probably need Yakupov more than anyone considering Nash should be gone next season. If I'm the oilers, I trade my pick to Columbus for the 2nd overall pick and a player. That way they still get a player from columbus and then they can draft Murray on defence. I'm sorry but they REALLY need defence.
MoneypuckOverlord
LOL, better look out for those OIlers. That being said, this doesn't stop us from being a top team. We face them 6 times per season, it's not like they will kick our ass 6 times. This also makes it easier for us to trade for Columbus's pick, all of a sudden, the value of "their" first round pick has dropped.
