Daniel Sedin won’t play tonight

Daniel Sedin won’t play the first game of the Stanly Cup playoffs.

“He’s still got concussion-like feelings, or like they think, the neck,” says his dad Tommy.

The Vancouver Canucks play the Los Angeles Kings tonight and the big question was whether Daniel Sedin would participate.

”He’s not recovered completely yet. It would be a mistake to play now,” says Tommy Sedin in Vancouver.

We just spoke with Tommy and he has watching his son struggle the last few days. It looked good a few days ago when Daniel hit the ice since the injury a few weeks ago.

”He worked hard, but had a headache afterwards,” says Tommy.

this:

1. He skated Monday with the whole team. Looked normal apparently.

2. He skated Tuesday with the Black Aces, the practice non-playing squad. Apparently he skated hard, so is not having ill-effects from the Monday skate. Apparently.

3. The canucks probably have a routine and barring a set-back know which game is going to start in. They would be following medical advice as to the best outcome for DS, not worrying about which game he will start.

Vancouver Canucks faced the Los Angeles Kings last night, Swedish time, and the big question was whether Daniel Sedin could be involved.

- He is not completely recovered yet, and know the damage a bit. It is wrong to play now, says Tommy Sedin from Vancouver.

We talked a moment ago with Tommy and he has followed his son's struggles in recent days. It looked positively out a few days ago when Daniel made his first ice sessions since the injury a few weeks ago.

- He ran well, but got a headache afterwards, says Tommy Sedin.

It was 21 March, Chicago's Duncan Keith put in a nasty elbow in the face of Daniel Sedin.

Ok lets not assume this Swedish news source is 100 percent accurate for news.

Something does not add up with this, if this story is true, and his dad is this well informed and did spill the story, why did he skate 40 minutes Tuesday. If he had a set back, wouldnt he not have been skating at all?

I am not saying swedish newspaper source talking to his dad is not correct, but i wouldnt act like its 100 percent accurate. He wouldnt have been skating at all tuesday especially that long if he had more headaches.
