Sea2Sky Country
Jeez, I don't want to be a homer, but the hit wasn't that bad. The hit wasn't that violent and normally a major penalty is only called when an injury has occurred. Would like to see video to make a better assessment. George_Costanza
I honestly can't tell if you're just trolling or if you honestly don't think it was a hit to the head. To me, it was clearly shoulder to head.
BleedBlueAndGreen
Definitely a suspension. Only positive thing? It was Byron Bitz... Put Ebbett in his spot. Ebbett>Bitz
George_Costanza
What a bunch of clowns calling for a suspension. The wimp puts himself in a vulnerable position. This isn't a Weber Whack-a-Mole incident.
ckamo
Clearly you are new to the game of hockey. What a god dang joke call.
George_Costanza
Even if he did put himself in a vulnerable position, it doesn't change the fact that it was contact to the head. It wasn't shoulder to shoulder like you keep saying.
ckamo
Respond to this after you are not drunk/hungover. Ridiculous call.

Provost
I think he will get 1 game max or no suspension because Clifford was not injured on the play and he received a misconduct.
Denguin
2-3 games minimum should be given. These need to be taken out of the game... players are dropping like flies because of these hits. Stupid, stupid hit that cost us the game tonight.
DaMacNamedDre
5 minutes was plenty. no suspension.
Captain Vietnam
I've seen the replay many times and I can't say 100% it was a shoulder to head or shoulder to shoulder hit. At the end of the day, the one player was in a vulnerable position and he threw a hit to his blind side. 1-2 games should get the message out their that this type of play will not be accepted in the league. Players are dropping like flies out their and it isn't something anyone wants to see in the game.
Guest
Stupid hit on his part, it'll be called everytime. I'll be pretty surprised if he didn't get suspended
Mauii
Dumb play. Cost us game one. The best thing that the NHL could do for the nucks would be to suspend him for the remainder of playoffs

CrazyAL
Give the guy 3 games. That was uncalled for and dangerous. Bad move by Rome. He needs to be suspended for at least 3 games for it.
MariWanna
Suspension worthy.
Drop Em
There was no reason Bitz to have followed through, he saw Clifford in a vulnerable position, targeted the head, no signs of letting up, and it was quite visible that Clifford wasn't going to turn around. Bitz will get the book thumped on him for that. considering what has happened to past incidents and not so recently Daniel Sedin and Duncan Keith incident, that really just sheds a lot of negativity on us. This is definetly something that we are trying to take out of the game. I get it, the games full of emotions and fast but honestly what Bitz did was totally uncalled for. Especially at the time of the game, we just started gaining momentum in the second period, and he does that. Tie game, and sends us on a 5 minute goose chase, just absolutely pathetic, placed us behind the 8 ball early in the game.
Smyl ( :
Hit was from the side not drilling his nametag...5 minutes was more than adequate...Richards and Greene both did far more illegal hits in their last game with no suspension.
gradin123
I don't think he should be in the Canucks lineup suspension or not. He had a couple of nice games with the Sedins earlier in the year and all of a sudden he is back for the playoffs even though he did nothing since with the Canucks and even played rather poorly with the Wolves. The time to call up Reinprecht is now. He is a proven vet who can now be called up with no cap ramifications. Get him in the lineup now. I hope Bitz gets suspended if it means Reinprecht gets called up.
