The addition of Parise and Johansen bring youth, skill and playmaking ability to the second line and solidifies both powerplay units. The additions of Gaustad and Kassian joining him on the Third inserts toughness and size into our top nine and have both shut down capabilities and a scoring touch. The 4th line will also maintain its size and ability to play the game and not be a liability on the ice and supplying the much needed toughness when called upon. On Defence the addition of Weber which is obviously an upgrade any way you look at it and Alzner is a good young Defenceman capable of a shut down role and plays the right side. These changes give the team a new identity and brings in reinforcements to solidify the future core moving foreward(Eakin, Johansen, Alzner, Shroeder, Jensen, Connauton, Kassian, Gragnani, Schneider).

Not bad although this is highly unlikely.

A 2nd for Parise's right is more than enough.

Weber's rights should be a 2nd as well or a lower pick and a decent prospect. Raymond works though, swapping rights for rights along with a pick.

Webers rights are worth far more than Parises, Parise can just walk away once July 1st hits, while Weber doesnt have that option

No team would offer a top player for another top player's rights. If a team is unable to re-sign the player they will try to get something for him.

Raymond's rights + 2nd is generous

Ehrhoff (50 pt) d-man got a 4th

Parise is the top forward this year, IMO I wouldn't waste a pick on his rights, I would rather offer him a contract on July 1st.

You'll be surprised what they will get in return for their rights if their teams can't keep them.

Weber could also pull a Drew Doughty.

Couple things:

I actually wouldn`t mind keeping Ballard if he kept up his high-tempo play, rushes and good stretch passes.

Kes and Tanev (not to mention Raymond`s rights) for Weber`s rights???????????? Why not just target Suter?

Also no thanks to trading for Parise`s rights-- wouldn`t do it unless there`s a chance he would want to sign here

If the Caps would take Edler for Alzner and Eakin I`d be delighted :frantic:

Johansen would be nice but really doubt Columbus would let him go and start their rebuild all over again, with 2 1st round picks, plus I`m not sold on him being a 2nd line center. (or in the offseason trade Schneider for Johansen and a 2nd or 3rd)

REALLY doubt anything near this magnitude happens.

Ship out Booth and get someone who fits with Kesler better or slide Kesler to wing and bring in a new #2 center. Pray to God Kassian can play wing on the third line next year. Let Raymond go. Move Ballard if we're not going to use him correctly. Get one of Versteeg or Wheeler (not happening). if you can..sign Gaustad and move Malholtra. Hope the CBA allows you to "amnesty" one player and rid youself of Luongo (for cap flexibility) sign a vet to backup Schneider. Play MAG as a forward cuz he doesn't know what defense even is and thinks he is Scott fricken Neidermayer on the PP.

Sedin-Sedin-Burrows

Higgins-Kesler-(trade for Blake Wheeler or Kris Versteeg)

Hansen-Malholtra-Kassian

(Gaustad Dream)

?-Lapierre-?

Hamhuis-Bieska

Edler-Salo

Tanev-(get Mark Stuart from Winnipeg or Matt Carle from Philly)

Phat Alberts

Schneider

(older goalie backup dude)

Luongo to TB for Connelly + TB 1st

MAG + Booth + Ballard to CBJ for Nash (Nash has the trump card of a NTC...so he gets to decide where to go)

Raymond + Edler + Hansen to NSH for Weber (hopefully he doesn't want to re-sign with Nashville).

TB 1st + Schroeder + Swett to NYI for Bailey (young 3rd line centre finding his groove).

I'm probably off the mark with above trade proposals...but meh...add picks/prospects if need be.

Sign UFA Suter and re-unite the Suter-Weber pairing.

Re-sign Salo to discounted 1 yr contract (I just wanna see him win a cup before he retires).

Sign Shultz (hopefully he wants to be a Canuck).

Sign Orr (big heavy weight when and if we need a goon)

Sign Carkner (big tough D that we need)

Sedin Sedin Burrows

Higgins Kesler Nash

Connelly Bailey Kassian

Malhotra Lapierre Weise

Orr

Suter Weber

Hamhuis Bieksa

Salo Tanev

Rome Carkner

Schneider

Lack

And hire a boxing coach and make it mandatory that everyone attends in the summer. That way...they can stand up for themselves and their teammates.
