realnucksfan2010
We didn't re-sign Torres because he wanted to much$$$$ for what he brings, it was that simple, we can get the same thing from Wiese if AV would play him more. We can't pin the Nucks lack of effort on not signing Torres, this team is stacked with grit and scoring talent, they just need to roll up thier sleves and do what they and all of us know what needs to be done, and that is just simplify every thing, on offence everthing goes towards the net with traffic in front, on defense everyone stay between the puck carrier and the net, oh yes and HIT EVERYTHING THAT ISN'T WEARING CANUCKS COLORS!!!!!!!!! Crom!
So what if he was too inconsistent for the third line? Play him on the fourth line.

babybulls211
Torres said in an interview with Coyotes that he wanted a multi-year contract because his wife just gave birth to a baby and he was looking for financial stability. MG was reluctant to give him one and therefore he walks.
Heretic
Too many people on CDC were bashing him so he didn't want to stay unless he was compensated for that.
speedyglass
Seriously... the guy was amazing last year in the playoffs. Clutch goals AND the best enforcer we had on the team. Raffi really would have came handy right about now against the King's forecheck. Should have tried harder to resign him imo.
canucksnihilist
so we could use the $ to sign erhoff... or his *ahem* replacement.
ChuckNORRIS4Cup
Ya I didn't understand this one, the chemistry that Hansen Malhotra and Torres had was very good. I understand Malhotra had the eye injury and they didn't play together for a period of time, but Malhotra came back and that line should of been put back together. LegionOfDoom
Deff enjoyed watching torres last year, but I don't think he is a 4th liner and our top 3 lines are pretty much set in stone when Daniel is in

kmotamed
One player wouldn't make that much of a difference... Well... there's Daniel. If anything Ehrhoff was a bigger loss.

canucksnihilist
Malholtra may retire after this season... He certainly isn't even close to where he was before the injury. Hope he can get it together over the summer?

Bertuzzi Babe
I was an unhappy Canuckaholic the day I heard Raffi was gone and I knew one day we'd regret his leaving. I've had so many people ask me this post-season why it is that we don't still have Raffi on the team. His body and rep on the ice would have benefited us greatly in the last three games by merely being an intimidating presence out there.
canidiot
his hit on seabrook woke up the hawks. his hit on horton woke up boston. he would skate past a free puck to throw a stupid hit. he stopped playing hockey to become a bowling ball. kinda like browns hit on hank. what was he thinking? adding injury to insult. the caucks played with a little more spark after that. MikeyD
Most overrated player ever. He's great when he shows up, can't make a 6 foot pass when he doesn't and floats around aimlessly. Great for 1 out every 10 games, bloody awful for 9.
hockeyaddict123
Like I said, he had 3 fights as a Canuck, and 100 less hits than Lapierre, and about the same amount as many of our current roster. This idea of him being a physical force is exaggerated by the lingering memory of his irresponsible charges he took on occasion. Everything Torres provided was replaced, and then added upon. The Canucks don't need emotional 4th liners, they need powerful top 6 players.
