Offseason Trade Proposals - Canucks Trades With Tampa Bay And Columbus

Recommended Posts

Just a few trades that I would like to see happen. I love Luongo, but IMO going with Schneider is the wiser move. Schneider has more good years left in him than Lou, Lou neering mid 30's. No doubt in my mind that Tampa would take Lou.

To Tampa

Roberto Luongo

Mason Raymond (2012 RFA)

Ryan Parent (2012 RFA)

To Canucks

Brett Connolly (TSN profile -> http://tsn.ca/nhl/te...rs/bio/?id=7680 )

Alexander Killorn (HockeyDB profile-> http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.phppid=105394 )

Tampa's 1st rounder (10th overall pick)

To Columbus

Keith Ballard

Dale Weise (2012 RFA)

Billy Sweatt

Aaron Rome (2012 RFA)

To Canucks

Derek Dorsett (TSN profile -> http://tsn.ca/nhl/te...rs/bio/?id=5639

Austin Madaisky (HockeyDB profile-> http://www.hockeydb.....php?pid=116155

David Savard (TSN profile -> http://tsn.ca/nhl/te...rs/bio/?id=7472

Columbus 2012 or 2013 4th round pick

(note: Austin Madaisky is a Canucks fan)

To Anaheim-Kesler

1st round pick

Schroeder

1st round pick 2013

To Van: Getzlaf

Bobby Ryan

Vancouver does this becaues we are in need of bigger stronger forwards that can score and can handle the hacking crap that is the NHL today. Sedins can play second line but 1st on the powerplay. Anaheim does this because Kelser would be the best 2-way forward they have, Hiller has regressed and Schroeder and the 1st round pick are just thrown in because they are not yet proven and can sweeten the pot.

That's not the way I saw it, I saw it like this:

-Kesler for Getzlaf

-1st, 1st, Schroeder for Ryan.

and how would Kesler for Ryan be a Fair deal? Bobby Ryan is 24, so he could still get better, and also he is a powerforward and with that skill level and that speed/hands, those players are really really tough to come by.

It would take more than Kes to get Ryan.

See this is why they would have concerns, Look Kesler is my favorite player I have his jersey and two of his shirts but he only has proven he can play that well for one season,

He is consistently a 25 goal scorer, you could just as easily make an argument is 40 goals was a 1 off and it was just a Career year, I personally think he can get that game back and I think he will go back to that next season but that's why it would take more to get him.

Kes playing at the way he was during his career year is worth Ryan, but the way he has played since and throughout his career isn't, and right not that's about what his value is at.
