This just sets Schneider up for failure and makes luongo look bad. Stupid move and not going to make a difference since the problems is what's in front of our goalies. EvoLu7ioN Posted April 18, 2012 Share Posted April 18, 2012 Schneider had a great game, but the defensive coverage was a lot better than game 1 and 2, and he should have had the rebound on the game winning goal. Luongo also had two good games, so you can't go with the "hot hand" argument. To be honest, I think this is a mistake by AV. In an elimination game like this I think you've got to go to our vets and starters and allow them to decide the outcome. And there's no outcome where Lu gets back in the net now. If we win, Schneider will stay in. If we lose, the seasons over. Huge slap at Luongo, not allowing him to play in an elimination game is much different than game 3 or game 6 last year. And people can say what they want, but he's a proven franchise goalie who has proven he can compete in the playoffs. If we lose tonight, I hope this is the final nail in AV's coffin.
