Trade Luongo, Sign Parise

Recommended Posts

Ok so I believe this is what my belevod Canucks should do in the offseason.

1. Trade Roberto Luongo (He waves NTC), to Tampa Bay

For Ryan Malone and 1st Round Pick in 2012 Draft

2. Sign Zach Parise to 6 year, 60 million dollar contract

3. Projected Lines

Sedin Sedin Burrows

Booth Kesler Parise

Higgins Lappierre Hansen

Weise Malhotra Kassian

Hamhuis Bieksa

Edler Salo

Rome/Ballard Tanev

C. Schneider

Lack

Let me know what you think :)

You want to give Parise 10 million a year average?

I want to tell you what I think, but I'd get banned.

Just did some calculations. Even if we traded Lu for Malone straight up, and signed Parise, it would leave us unable to sign Cory Schnieder, or ANY of our other UFA/RFA's

Worse, ok, so do you think Salo is better than Gleason!? Tanev is better than Wideman!?

Check these stats

Wideman - 11g, 35a, 46 PONTS OR Salo - 9g, 16a, 25p

Gleason - 18 points, +/- 12 OR Tanev - 25 games played, 0g, 2a

If negotiations go bad with Zach Parise, what about

New Jersey

Roberto Luongo

Vancouver

Zach Parise

Conditional 1st 2012

Conditional 1st 2013

(Condition for both picks being Parise re-signs).

- If New Jersey is going to lose Parise for nothing (assuming he won't re-sign with New Jersey), New Jersey replaces Brodeur with another franchise caliber goaltender.

- Vancouver takes a risk that they can't sign Parise, but the risk is mitigated by getting 2 1st round picks in exchange if Parise won't re-sign.

* Or if New Jersey can pull of some sort of sign and trade where Parise is sent to Vancouver with a contract and we avoid the draft pick nonsense.
