Madness! Someone Start A Save Luongo Campaign Before Its Too Late!

They need to have a sit down and see why Lu wants out. In his own words. Then they need to determine wether he still wants to play here and win a cup. If we can get him to stay and he wants to that's our best chance to win a cup next year. The chances that we even make the playoffs with Schneider starting are very questionable.

Well if for once the fans showed some form of mass support say a save Luongo campaign at least it would show we are not all blind fans....

This whole thing has me reminded of the Patrick Roy Montreal Canadiens fiasco that saw them chase arguably the best goalie of his, maybe all time out of town...Since Le Trade, the Canadiens have won only six playoff series and missed the post-season several times; in contrast, Roy enjoyed great success in Colorado and won two Stanley Cups and two presidents trophies.

I love schneids but we are giving up our number one for an unproven commodity when talk has been how this team is so close for the first time in a long time...this is crazy!

There never was anything the fans could do to either have him stay or go.

Management made the decision to play COry because they believed he was the best choice, not because the fans wanted him in net in the playoffs.

THis is between AV, MG, the owners and Lu.

Fans that think they influenced or can influence the decision either way are delusional!

If Roberto wants a trade, I'll bet the abuse he takes from the fans and the media plays into it a lot. For the winningest goalie in Canuck history, he is treated shamefully.

I like Schneider a lot, but I think it would be awesome if we could keep them both, and they shared the duties.

It's official, Luongo has asked to be traded. Be careful what you ask for Canucks fans. All Luongo ever did was do what was asked of him and played with his heart on his sleeve. He turned this franchise around from a goalie graveyard and took the team to one win away from the cup.

It's a damn shame that this city, the fans and the media made him the scapegoat. I fully support Schneider and his abilities, but let's not forget one of the best players ever to wear the blue and green. Thank you Luu.

Well when fans have cheered Luongo being pulled the past couple seasons, and have constantly trashed him through various media outlets, I think management starts to get the general concensus of what fans think.

If you don't think fans can put pressure on management, then you're crazy. Fans are the organiztions customers, and the saying goes that the customer is always right. Although I'm not sure I agree with fans on this one.

I agree with NHL owners and players on their hockey opinion over yours. The opinion is that the fans play a part by feeding the media. The media who only cares about the coverage will cover what the majority of fans are saying good or bad. This has been an issue in hockey markets like Vancouver now for ages. Where have you been?
