î мцšт вяздк чфµ
major obesity suit against the company was thrown out back in 2003, a man in Brazil -- a McDonald's franchise manager, no less -- actually managed to win $17,500 after he packed on 65 Big Mac pounds over 12 years. What do you think? Was the Nutella lawsuit ridiculous? Or did it have merit? Pagination Previous

Stark
Did she really expect for hazelnut spread (basically chocolate) to be healthy? Just goes to show that people buy into advertising like idiots. The media has such great power over society, seriously
Phil_314
Have you bought a jar of Nutella in the past four years? Were you under the impression, as you slathered the creamy hazlenut spread onto your crackers or scooped large spoonfuls of it from the jar directly into your mouth, that you were indulging a health food craving? Mason Raymond21
To me, a reasonable person should have been able to understand that Nutella is not 100% health food. Yes it tastes great, but the taste comes with cons. I never liked the one-sided Nutella ads, but I don't think the woman deserved to win the lawsuit. Guest BuckFoston
Shoveling anything like that by spoonfuls into your mouth is completely disgusting. Show some restraint and have respect for your body. I once saw a kid shoveling spoonfuls of mayo and haven't been able to eat any since.

Mason Raymond21
Someone had to be the scapegoat, although I do love Ferrero products. There are some big names who are pushing for better advertising/labelling standards for food products. I guess this ruling is the result of that. Carpe Diem
When Coca Cola was being sued for the advertising vitamin water as some sort of "health food" their defense were... we thought our lies were so outlandish that nobody would believe us! Can't believe that many of you buy that argument.
Hugemanskost
We need to start teaching the general public how to read food labels, especially the nutritional info. Even though some companies are not completely truthful on these labels, there is enough information to disseminate whether a product is beneficial or potentially detrimental to your, or your family's, personal health. Read the freakin' label, folks. This woman was rewarded for being intelligent. I hate the American way of suing for every matter, but, you have to admit that by reading the label, this lady made some coin.
