Anyone else play this? I'm thinking of buying it and wanted to see what other people think of this game.

Also I was thinking of downloading the Dayz mod and I woudl need a group of players to play that with.

Anybody play Arma 2 here? It's on sale on Steam right now and I'm tempted to buy the collection. But I have no idea what to expect from the multiplayer and Wikipedia hasn't been helpful. It seems like you can play with/against AI or real people online which really isn't very informative.

I play Arma 2 all the time. The actually game and mods like DayZ ect ect. It's amazing, You need a pretty good computer and the learning curve is pretty steep... But once you get the hang of it, it's great. The best part about the game is that it's completely modded. Tons of mods for like game..

I bought Arma 2 and the expansion on a Steam sale months ago specifically to play Day Z but then found out my computer sucks. Lol, I can run the game but it's ridiculously slow.

Thanks, guys. I wanted to try my luck and bought the game.

The game runs fine, but yeah, the framerate only averages about 50 fps on Normal graphical settings or 45 on High. It can dive to the low 30s at times. I can see some customers having buyer's remorse with this game. LOL

I looked up the controls settings and it's a massive list. It'll porbably take an hour to re-map and remember everything. I can see why it has a steep learning curve.

From the sounds of it, your more then fine... But yah.. Once you learn it, you will have a blast. Don't give up! You will have a blast once you become used to it. Like I said, Download DAYZ if your into zombies and give that a try.
