Smashian Kassian
Is Matt Martin really worth Malhotra, Raymond and a 2nd? I highly doubt MG offered that for Ott at the trade deadline. Who would you rather have? Ott or Martin?

Smashian Kassian
Otts better but I don't see Martin or Ott moving both are valued by their teams
Gally
But do you really think Martin is worth that much?
sedinz
No kidding eh? OP, here's a tip. Don't try and disguise how lopsided a 3 way deal is by just showing where everyone is going. Here's your same deal with where everything is coming from: Van Luongo 1st Tampa Connelly 6th SJ Clowe 1st 2nd 2nd Looks a little more lopsided now eh? Tampa hardly gives up anything (just Connelly really), and we give up Luongo and a 1st, while SJ gives up Clowe and a 1st, and two 2nds. Horrible. I'm not sure why we'd want Matt Martin instead of someone better like Moulson. We already have 4th liners with size who can put up as many points as Martin; Bitz had 4 points in 10 games and Kassian had 10 in 44. Martin had 14 in 80. Weise is better all around, and Manny and Lappy both put up better point totals while being more effective in everything but being a thug.
elvis15
We sign Martin for his energy and not his offense. Led the league in hits by a landslide. Martin > Weise Martin > Volpatti
Kack Zassian
Matt Martin is to the Islanders as Cal Clutterbuck is to the Wild. It would take way more than he is worth to acquire him via trade. Hes a great 4th liner...but its not worth it. The 3 way trade is off, and I don't see why San Jose does it. Also Kassian ahead of Clowe, and Carkner ahead of Tanev?
