danaimo
The Devils might have Brodeur available for one more year but given the scarcity of starting goaltenders that are ever available they would certainly want one of the canucks goalies. I can only think of 4 starting goalies under the age of 35 that have been available through a trade or free agency, since the lock out. This summer there are 2 available, Luongo or Schneider. There is a reason why Brodeur, Fleury, Kiprosoff, Miller, and Backstrom have never been traded. It is because they would be so hard to replace. Once a team has a bona fide starter, they need to lock him up long term. The Devils may not be able to get a goalie next year so they might have to get one this year. But the devils are in competition with NYI,CBJ,TOR,EDM,COL,FLA,TAM and CHI. Gotta love supply and demand, I'm sure MG does too.
