Which Cost More?

For those who at this point have been disappointed by both the

Hodgson and Sulzer for kassian and gragnani

As well as the

Grabner a first (quinton howden) and Bernier for Ballard and oreskovich

Which was the better, or worse trade I guess depending on your outlook?

Definetly option B, Howden looks very promising and Grabner could be a useful player, IMO Ballard is a burden to this team and we really need to start looking for a better option to improve our defensive depth and size, aswell as save precious cap room.

Hodgson and Kassian trade is still to early to tell, but getting Ballard and throwing away 1st rounders like candy was a boneheaded move that seems frantic and not well thought out. Ala Sundin 20 M offer.

I don't have a problem with either moves.

At the time of the Ballard trade, we needed a defenseman. And we didn't need Grabner, and i'm pretty sure people would have willingly shipped Bernier out of here for a used water bottle. Quinten Howden, well time will tell how he turns out.

Hodgson trade has been beaten to death. But i really think we got a very rare type of player in Kassian out of this deal and could pay off huge in the long run, Gragnani is young also and could develop into a really good offensive D man. Can't say who wins this trade yet.

I hate to rant over things like these, but if we got Ballard without giving up Grabner and our first, traded, say, Schroeder, Rodin, and a 2nd for Kassian, re-signed Torres, this is what our line up could've looked like this year:

Sedin - Sedin - Burrows

Booth - Kesler - Higgins

Grabner - Hodgson - Kassian

Torres - Lapierre - Hansen

But then again, s*** happens.

Yeah kassian sucks, he's already 20 and still hasn't developed into the NHL... Pathetic. was Hodgson a 50 goal scorer last year or something? Where do people think we got the s*itty end of the stick? We got a young big power forward for another potentially young clutch goal scorer , both players are going to have great careers....our team just got a lot uglier lol.

why are we still talking about this they asked for the trade, hodgson had no right asking for more ice time IT WAS HIS ROOKIE YEAR! who cares who won the trade it wasnt about winning, it was about getting the spoiled brat off the gm's back.

as for the other trades, we got to the final after that trade so i wouldnt question it.

Kassian was supposed to be a physical force we could use for the playoff's. He was not.

We lost three 1 goal games against L.A.; CoHo had a habit of scoring in one goal games against good teams. See Detroit, San Jose & Boston.

Kass himself probably will be fine. But not until the season after next when the Twins are 3 & 4 years removed from MVP calibre seasons. I feel shafted because Jack Johnson, an under performing 1st rounder who could not get time behind Doughty on his team got L.A. Carter. Carter > Kassian will ever be. Carter helped his team right away.

I will cheer for Kassian.

I will never cheer for this trade!

Why do I feel we got the bad end of the stick? We're rebuilding before Calgary starts!
