Didn't know Hamhuis had a NTC, thanks for pointing that out. And you don't think Phaneuf is worth that much? I always thought that with a good enough supporting cast he could turn into a star. Plus, say Edler was injured or in a slump, Phaneuf can take the top pairing spot. But none of that matters, cause Hamhuis has a NTC as you pointed out.

Please, expand on how an All-star defenseman who is in his prime years and has the ability to consitently score 50 points with a half-decent supporting cast (like what he did with Calgary) and an early second and 3rd rounder isn't worth an aging yet skilled goaltender with a large, long contract, a 2nd/3rd line centre, and a mid round 1st rounder?
