[Proposal] Cup Winning Team

Recommended Posts

To Nj:

Van 2012 1st round pick

To Van:

Rights to Zach Parise

Only happens if NJ can't get a deal done with Parise. Ship him off for something.

Vancouver gets thier top 6 forward to complete the 2 lines.

To NYI:

Cory Schnieder

Keith Ballard

Andrew Alberts

To Van:

Ryan Strome

NYI 2013 1st round pick

NYI gets a number one goalie in Schnieder. They have only Nabokov signed at the moment, and he only has a year or so left in the tank and need a replacement. They also get Ballard to help them on d, and if he can re gain his form, it could be a great steal by the Islanders.

Vancouver gets the 5th overall pick from last years draft. Ryan Strome is a very dynamic 2 way player. He has a great shot, playmaking ability, and is great at skating. He has a much higher potential ceiling than Hodgson ever did. Once the Sedin's pace start to slow down, and they can't play at the elite level anymore, Strome should be ready to take thier spot.

Sign:

Brandon Prust 2mil for 2 years; 1mil/year

Jason Garrison 17.5mil for 5 years;3.5mil/year

Bryan Allen 6mil for 2 years; 3mil/year

Martin Biron 900k for 1 year; 900k/year

*Samuel Pahlsson 1.75mil for 1 year; 1.75mil/year

Re-Sign:

Sami Salo 2mil for 1 year; 2mil/year

*Sign if Strome isn't Ready for the NHL.

Salo can alternate in and out, don't get him to play too many games.

Without Strome:

Guest BuckFoston

I guess you forgot that the Islanders are still on the hook for Dipietro's salary, but good job with the research... they are not going to take Schneider and will most likely either keep Montoya or give the backup job to Poulin. Ugh <_<
