Hockey coach banned after team skips ceremony to study

Recommended Posts

so basically hockey is more important than an education. An education which will be hugely important and crucial to an individual's life when they don't make the NHL?

Chances of anyone making the NHL is extremely hard. I love hockey but as far as I'm concerned education comes first. I don't really know how it works (UK fan) but the way it should be is you have to obtain and keep a certain grade to play hockey.

For example, I would say(or assume) a C should be the mark that most people get. That mark should be kept with athlete's and if they ever get below that they get suspended (from games) until their mark goes up again.

Ideally this would encourage students to focus more on their studies, and if they are good at hockey they will have a back-up option if something fails.

(just my opinion of course).
