[Discussion] Twist on a Luongo deal

Recommended Posts

If we were to add Eddie Lack to a trade proposal with Toronto would we be able to get a much bigger return? With a Luongo trade being imminent and Eddie Lack being a talent in the AHL if we were to deal both to Toronto Burke may be more relaxed to take on the large contract if he also has a legit goalie of the future. Luongo could mentor Lack and T.O. would most likely be set in the goalie position for the next ten or so years. Vancouver can afford to do this with Canatta coming up through the system as well as not having a large need for a young goalie seeing as Schneider is our future as of now.

Reimer obviously isn't the solution to their goaltending although could bring in a small piece through a trade. Scrivvens style is very wierd and so far has been un-effective in the NHL. I know nothing about Rynnas however i know Lack is probably better than all their goalie prospects.

No... No he's not.

How about you watch a Pittsburgh game and see Jordan Staal is awful on the wing and in no way is he a better center then Kesler.

The guy does not fit on this team. Stop with all the Staal nonsense.

Toronto already has a pretty bright future with their goalie prospects (Reimer, Scrivens,Rynnas)

Luongo would be an ideal player for them. 1A goalie who can help them make the playoffs. Aging but can still play, eventually one of those goalies will develop and be ready

Only thing making them hesitate is his contract and what exactly to send the other way
