(Proposal) Vancouver-Toronto-Columbus

Recommended Posts

I think the only way we can get Nash is in a three-way trade. So here's my idea:

To Vancouver: Rick Nash + Ryan Johansen + Nikolai Kulemin

To Toronto: Roberto Luongo + David Booth + 2012 2nd overall pick = Yakupov

To Columbus: 2012 5th overall pick = Galchenyuk + Luke Schenn + Joe Colbourne

Leafs Top Six:

Lupul - Grabovski - Kessel

Booth - Bozak - Yakupov

Cbj Top Six:

Umberger - Colbourne - Atkinson

Prospal - Galchenyuk - ????

Van Top Six:

Sedin - Sedin - Nash

Burrows - Johansen - Kesler

Thoughts?

Maybe if the Canucks got a little more in return this would be a fair trade.

Nah, I'm just pulling your leg. Canucks take this deal and run. Columbus gets annihilated. No way Yakupov doesn't get drafted 1st overall, even if the Oilers wanted Murray, they'd trade for the 2nd overall pick to get him. To not draft Nail 1st overall would be a travesty, he earned it.

Columbus loses that trade.

Based on what they were rumoured to be asking for Nash at the deadline (top 6 winger, defenseman prospect, 1st?) they do not receive enough, especially when adding Johansen (Who is a key piece to their re-build) to the deal
