DeNiro
I tend to agree. And if it fails, we will still be a competitive play off team and there will be another Pahlsson avail at the deadline. Our real challenge is replacing Hodgson!
Squeak
At least this will stop people from making roster proposals with Pahlsson....
Canuck Surfer
No, we found, in a prospect, the long lost hope of replacing Bertuzzi. Look, we were dreadfully thin at right wing, Hansen being our only natural right side guy in the top 9. And in size. So i can see the logic. But it just created a different void at center. Kassian is a different hole completely. Its coincidence they were traded for each other, nothing more. We did replace Hodgson. Hodgson's name is now Kassian. I have a feeling people won't be complaining about losing Hodgson after next season.
oldnews
Best of luck to the Bull. Thought he played very well for the Canucks down the stretch. Congrats Markus and good luck Modo. For those who are calling this a failure on the part of Gillis, thanks for the drama - very entertaining as always - and still not missing Hodgson an iota. By the way, we still have Henrik, Kesler, Lapierre, Malhotra, and Schroeder - and wouldn't be surprised if a young guy like Matthias or Bjugstad winds up coming this way, in addtion to the possibilities amongst the depth centres available on the UFA market... cdubuya
the guy clearly never wanted to be here. Never heard such a dissapointed post trade interview to the canucks in their last few years of excellence.
Edlerberry
lol, makes the CoHo trade look even better... People saying Schroeder should play there. Right... a less defensive and smaller CoHo. This team definitely needed a downgrade for our third line center while costing us a couple thirds in the process...

mpt
you could tell from his interview when he was traded that he doesn't have the passion for the NHL anymore
Paul_Kariya28
We just wasted 2 4th round picks, that can turn out to be steals.

TOMapleLaughs
Hodgson for a winger. Kesler injured. Now this. And Manny still has one eye. Gone from ultra-deep up the middle to ultra-shallow in short order. Good thing the season will be cut in half, because Hank will be our only legit center for it. Oh right... Schroeder... DownUndaCanuck
He was scoring at a 10 goal, 30 point pace. We could do better at 3rd line center with Lapierre, but his experience is something we needed. This would have been an amazing 3rd line: Jensen - Pahlsson - Hansen Perfect mix of speed (Hansen), size (Jensen), toughness (Pahlsson), youth and experience and all 3 are skilled enough to score. You win cups these days with lines of a little bit of everything, and that line would have had it all.

DollarAndADream
Pahlsson didn't really fit here. Much luck to him with MODO.
