canuck2xtreme
Looks like its call-out OTTS weekend. When you recall or sign guys to fill a roster the MGP doesn't change.. That stat is only used to calculate healthy scratches or guys you didn't bother to place on the LTIR. Myself, Orlov, Latendresse, Karlsson, McDonald, McQuaid, Lundin all have missed or will miss significant time. 10 actually. I thought you said 'key' injuries? Karlsson’s is a significant injury. There’s one. McDonald was acquired Feb.4 and missed 10 games, not going to scuttle a season. McQuaid’s been hurt for a week, and has been listed as your #6 D all year. Latendresse missed some time but not a large chunk and was playing pretty poorly beforehand anyways. Lundin was on IR twice for a grand total of 34 days, is also a depth D. Orlov has been hurt but again, depth D who’s not a big producer. Players that have not missed time at all: Toews Backes Burmistrov Neal Campbell Stewart Saad Neil Perron Martin OEL Schultz Crawford So that's 6 injuries all year, only one to a 'key' guy, and most of them short term. Some teams have 6 out at a time, for extended periods. Some teams have had huge chunks of their top 6 forwards out at a time. There's only 2 forwards on your list for the whole season and the one top 6 guy that's there only missed 10 games and was acquired mid-season. So, like I said.... Huh? I've had just as many injuries as anyone has and key ones at that. I expect to be atop the league and anything else than that is a disappointment for me. This is sooooooo not accurate. Couple that with complaining about not getting enough D points lately while you're still 1st in your conference and your occasional posts lamenting about how your team only got a paltry 77 points on the night, and forgive us if we're not lining up with tissues to console you. canuck2xtreme
I think a 1st and two prospects is a great return for bouwmeester and his cap hit. It's about time Calgary rebuilds, and having 3 1st round draft picks is great for them In theory yes. Getting a first is good but still. Let's look at the two prospects. Mark Cundari - 5'9, 196 lbs defenceman who has known injury/concussion issues and while he projects as a 2 way defenceman, needs to improve his 2 way game to get a crack at the NHL. Middling prospect at best. Reto Berra - a 28 year old goaltender from the Swiss league who has posted average/below average numbers over there. Primal Optimist
As for Bouwmeester I have never been a fan and he might be the single best move Calgary could make to clean up the room. That is all I am gonna say about that.

canuck2xtreme
Glad you can see Karlsson's injury carried some significance. Latendresse was signed to a $3M Per year deal to be a top-9 forward, because he was didn't play well a few games at the beginning of the year you consider him to not be significant? Please... 10 games is over 20% of a season so yes missing a top-6 forward like McDonald 10 games I consider significant. Orlov a depth D? He had a sweet rookie campaign and was slated to be a big part of my D core this season but he suffered a concussion. McQuaid is an elite bottom-pairing d-man and I also consider him a big part of my team. Crawford was also hurt for 4 games since you feel the need to nit pick on everything. I love how you think degrading my players makes your argument valid. I had not stated that I was among the most unlucky teams, guys like Arby have had their seasons destroyed by injuries. I said I've been having bad luck LATELY key word, just because I am near the top of the standings I am not allowed to speak with any negativity to my team? I expect no one to console me, forgive me for posting aboutwhat's been happening withMY TEAM. If you don't like what I post, don't read it. If someone wants to call me out on what I post, forgive me for defending my statements. Cheer up cupcake. Don't dish out sarcastic comments and barbs at other teams if you can't handle them yourself. What I wrote was poking fun and pointing out a few facts. You seem rather insulted by it. Relax dude...

da.moose
Great season debut for big Tom Kostopoulos.... The big veteran decided to show what he can bring to the table by dropping the gloves 3 minutes into his first game of the season under contract in the CDCGML. Unfortunately he got knocked out by Matt Martin and was on the ground for several minutes. Word is that he will be okay.
