i know that we can talk to the numbers of players we want now...but didnt know that we can re-sign them before july 1st....may i got a rule wrong???

You can talk to your pending UFA and RFA players. They may or may not agree to extensions, which can be posted anytime if an agreement is reached.

We haven't released specifics regarding unrestricted free agency, but it's likely to be pretty close to what the NHL is doing this year, with a few aspects to make things run a little smoother this year than it has in the past.

MSG NEWS 2013:

With Thomas Vanek, Ryan Malone and Jiri Hudler game time decisions, it appears the Rangers are returning to good health. This post season is out of reach for the storied franchise, but the team will never stop trying to improve, and with pride and jobs on the line, neither will the players. Finishing healthy is a strong step forward, and you can bet the front office will have their eyes on the numbers down the stretch. Nik Antropov is expected to miss the next week with a lower body injury, other than that, no excuses. We are ready to play and win, regardless of playoff contention.

I don't know what is going on in the ADD raddled mind of Carolina's head coach. Justin Peters has let in 4 goals in three games...but was only on the ice for a partial game in all three games...meanwhile last night Dan Ellis, who relieved Justin in net let in four goals in his partial game. After 12 goals against in his last three games, Dan Ellis gets the nod tonight over Justin Peters?
