Mike Vanderhoek
The New Jersey Devils would like to congratulate GM ActionJax09 on a tremendously tough fought series! Congratulations on your first season in the CDCGML and for putting together a solid team that no doubt will be even tougher to play against moving forward. greensman
Though outclassed and outplayed, my Bruins seemed to have pulled off a first round win. Great game Lethunder, it was truly neck and neck throughout the series! Very well fought out on both sides! It wasn't pretty, but we pulled it off. My hobbled 8 man roster, containing 2 back-up goalies, rolls forward to round 2 for the first time! We'll use Buffalo's individual stand out performances as inspiration into the next round
Otis
Big congrats to Squeak on his teams first round performance, he has been able to put together a young team that is growing together and we are sure this years experience will motivate him and his guys will come back stronger than ever. Onto the Bruins for the Panthers, we are very intrigued by this match-up as GM Greensman has built a tremendous hockey club having knocked off the two time CDCGML champion in round one. We look forward to the challenge that this matchup presents for our hockey club. and we are expecting to hear some "Ray who?" chants coming from the fans in sunrise. canuck2xtreme
May 13, 2013 STREIT SHOOTER Veteran defenceman Mark Streit signs extension with Jets Winnipeg MB (with files from the Associated Press) - The Winnipeg Jets know a good thing when they see it. That's why the club signed defender Mark Streit to a 3 year contract extension late Sunday afternoon. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed, but sources believe it to be a 3 year pact worth $14.4 million dollars. The deal is not believed to include a no trade clause. Since bringing the Swiss born defenceman into the fold in late March, production from the blue line immediately went up. Streit seemed to stabilize a defence core that, while strong, seemed to have trouble finding consistency. Often paired with youngster Tyson Barrie, Streit picked up 11 points over the final month of the regular season and chipped in 5 points, including 2 goals, in 6 playoff games. "When we talked to Montreal and he was potentially available, we were excited. We know what kind of player he is, his experience and leadership are invaluable," Jets General Manager c2x told the media Monday morning. "There's been something missing from our blueline for two seasons now. We feel Mark gives us a much stronger group moving forward and we're thrilled to get this deal done. Not only does he make our transition game much better, he's the perfect role model for our young players coming up. He provides that veteran leadership and guidance that we aim to have for our young guys coming up. His style of play is exactly what we want to see from guys like Beaulieu and Barrie as they develop their game, and what better way to learn than by playing with one of the best in the game?" The signing brings Winnipeg's blue line up to 8 names who saw ice time last season. Restricted free agent Zach Bogosian is noticeably absent from the list, but the Jets say those talks are progressing and are "trending in a very positive direction". This may lead to a logjam at the point, which may mean a trade could be in the works involving a defenceman. The Jets declined to comment on those rumors. Streit was acquired via a mid-season deal with the Montreal Canadiens that also brought depth defenceman Andrew Alberts back to the Peg.

lethunder
Congratulations to the Bruins. Greensman, you've built quite the team and while disappointing, there is no shame in losing to you. The Buffalo Sabres are now open for some offseason wheeling and dealing after being bumped in the 2nd and 1st rounds these last 2 years.

ActionJax09
Rumour: The Pittsburgh Penguins are looking to make a couple moves....
canuck2xtreme
Figuring out a way to make the penguins win the series in 7 games...that is what you need to be doing, you have 4 dudes left and they all waddle on the ice in black coat and tails. o.O So, question, lets pretend you beat Vancouver but the penguins fail to advance in the NHL? What happens? Do you just lose the next round the day it starts if the other team has a player left in the fight? Tough to win a series with nobody playing. So yeah, if that happened, whoever I'd face in the 3rd round would have a free pass to the final But odds are if, with 4 players, all from Pittsburgh, manage to get me enough to advance, then they'd likely be advancing as well. Hopefully. GO PENS GO!!!

winterhawks
The Ottawa Senators would like to congratulate the NYI on a hard fought series! We had a strong lead at the beginning leading the NHL in playoff scoring for a couple days but we weren't able to hold on. Cody Franson had a big game on the last day of the 1st round but it wasn't enough. The Sens will use this experience to break into the 2nd round next year. The Sens front office now switches to the off-season. They will be looking to add playoff depth for next season. Pm GM Winterhawks if you have any inquiry's.
