To make it to the semi's in the CDCGML takes a lot of guts and a lot of work with just a pinch of good luck, these 8 teams are great, but four of them are going on, and it is going to take a lot more of the above for some of these guys to push forward!

Here is this mornings CDCGML Semi-Finals standings as of last night:

LAK 56 - EDM 24

WPG 27 - VAN 61

FLO 92 - BOS 29

NYI 137 - NJD 115

Looks like I'm going to need a lot of goon points to catch up to the Canucks, even if Crosby is putting up hat tricks. Not throwing in the towel yet, but it's not looking good. Things couldn't have broken much worse for me in the first round..

Overall quite pleased with the effort so far this round, but going to need my Hawks to contribute if we expect to hang onto this lead.

Mike and TM are in a war

There are 3 teams that I would really rather not see win the Cup. Chicago, Boston, and LA. Needless to say I was not disappointed with the result of yesterdays game.

The Nashville Predators are pleased to announce that they have acquired Mark Giordano and Drew Shore from the Pittsburgh Penguins. Both are players that will immensely help our team out next year. Although we had to part with younger defencemen John Moore, OHL leading scorer Vincent Trocheck and 2 Draft Picks this year, we felt that there are only a few players we are interested in for this years draft and we could get one of those players with a later 1st round pick. With Bouwmeester gone, we expect Mark to take the reins on Calgary's D Corps getting a ton of icetime. Although Drew had a not too stellar season, we think that he will improve as the team around him improves.

Report: It has become more and more apparent that Brent Burns may never play on the blue-line again, as the big guy has excelled on the wing ever since he was put up front earlier this season. As a result, the Habs have decided to plan for next season with Burns slotted on the top-line along-side Valtteri Filppula and Rick Nash, as his RW/D status allows us the flexibility to make this move.

Nash - Filppula - Burns

Tanguay - Galchenyuk - Cole

Calvert - Nystrom - Condra

Richardson - Slater - ???

Boychuk - Pirri

Kulikov - E. Johnson

Greene - Kostka

Postma - Strait

O'Byrne - Redmond

Lindback

Haula - Latta - Shugg

Maxwell - Knight - Noebels

??? - Labate - ???
