GrassyPonderous
Smells to me like academic problems. isn't he signing with Kalamazoo ? So much for drafting character Seriously doubt it. This says nothing of poor character. Faulty assumption on your part. Why do people think that the Canucks would not support this move at all? From a player development point of view, there's nothing wrong with focusing 100% on hockey and familiarizing with other prospects in the system. Our late ronders last year were picked because we would get at least 2-4 years to look at them play in college. Meanwhile, they are getting an education which MG finds to be a very important quality. I think his hockey career, at least with the canucks, took a hit with this move.
LostViking
Certainly didn't expect him to leave school partway through the year, but I hope he does well in Kalamazoo.

He was a late round pick the success rate for those players is less than 15% If I'm him I'm concentrating on making a living away from hockey...which conversely is 85% certain

Joel Heyman
http://www.kwings.co...-SIGN-MYRON-651 Well, this is make or break for Myron. If he succeeds here he has a shot, if not then he just threw away a better chance at an NHL career, a college education, and four years of college chicks. Hopefully management was advising him all the way.
NuxFan09
Myron went scoreless and had 1 shot on net, 2 PIMS and an even rating in his debut for Kalamazoo today.
Canvoucer Vanuck
Wasn't expecting him to be there so soon but best of luck to him... still not ideal for his development.

NuxFan09
Myron picked up his first two ECHL points - in the form of 2 assists - and added 2 PIMS and a +1 rating for Kalamazoo in a 4-3 loss to the Trenton Titans today.
Joel Heyman
Myron picked up his first two ECHL points - in the form of 2 assists - and added 2 PIMS and a +1 rating for Kalamazoo in a 4-3 loss to the Trenton Titans today. He had a goal taken away from him on the stat sheet and then two assists added. I can only imagine that he was pretty involved for the K-Wings offence tonight. NuxFan09
Myron is on a bit of a roll now. He scored his first ECHL goal for Kalamazoo today in a 3-2 OT win over the Toledo Walleye. Ill-advised career move or not, at least Myron is producing already in the ECHL.
LostViking
Time will tell whether or not he has success in the ECHL, but it is odd that he seems to be producing in Pro whereas he did not have a place at Boston University, that is a little backwards is it not? NuxFan09
Yep, he's officially in "ripping it up" territory. After getting no points in his first 3 games, he has 6 points in his last 3. Impressive stuff from Myron.
Smashian Kassian
Yeah, I was one of the biggest people on him for leaving BU, but great to see him doing well, perhaps we have something here after all.
