eretz canucks
It's been tweeted that Luit said they are no longer taking calls and suggested Schneider won't be signing before July first. Gillis won't risk moving Luongo now because then he risks losing both goalies. An offer sheet of 6.2 million only gets you a first, second and third. That's bad- varlemov was traded for a high 1st and second, we risk getting a late 1st,2nd,3rd Is Gillis mismanaging this? Should he have traded Luongo long ago? There is a chance this really blows up in our face

elvis15
You do know we have a pinned thread for all this kind of stuff, right? Anything Luongo/Schneider related? Not to mention it was posted yesterday about the Luit not taking calls bit. If you are going to post something like this, I'd suggest a linkable source as well. Here's my reply from /topic/331954-schneider-can-file-for-arbitration-on-july-5th-which-indicates-something-is-up/">the thread where this was already posted: If that was the case, then Luit would be on the phones more, not less. ^This. It likely means they have a deal in principle in place and are just waiting on a Luongo deal to go through. That could be close or they could be confident enough that it will happen to not worry about other teams. Having said that, they wouldn't be able to start talking about offer sheets until July 1st anyways so how many people would he be talking to. Noheart
No market for Luongo. Offer sheets to fruition are about as common as Michael Jackson's skin disease Relax, or maybe go for a bike ride.
Niklas Jensen
Well, now you have to entertain the idea of shipping Schneider to the jackets, packaging him up for Rick Nash.

canadiangunner
Calm down people. Gillis has got it all under control. Schneider will be a canuck next year and Luongo will be gone. Book it.
