Kack Zassian Posted June 30, 2012 Share Posted June 30, 2012 Lets say free agency Mike Gillis is able to sign 1 of these 2 players On a 1 Year, 5 million dollar deal (hypothetical) Would you rather have: Ray Whitney - Career playmaking winger. Put up 77 points last season, would look good feeding Kesler/Booth. His 54 assists last year were 6th in the league, and he is an elite playmaker (only 14 less than Henrik) Shane Doan - Rugged powerforward, good for 50-60 points. The 2nd line when healthy really has lacked a playmaker, and like I said Whitney was 6th in the league in assists this year. I would be thrilled to see either of them in a Nucks uniform but voted for Whitney just because of the play making dynamic he would add to the 2nd line.
