SamJamIam
I like how the same people who say Garrison is overpaid/too inexperienced don't understand that combination of qualities are what make him so noteworthy. He took 2.5 seasons to go from undrafted player kicking around university hockey, to #3 in NHL d-man scoring while playing a pretty good shutdown game and throwing a big body (and fists) around. That's what we call a "breakout season". He didn't just get magically lucky especially playing on a team with 24 more GA than GF.
John Garret's moustache
Everyone needs to relax and let Mike properly build this team, letting Sammy go (all the props in the world to him so many amazing years) for the huge $7mil price tag and just now signing Garrison is exactly the best thing that could happen today! He knows what he's doing and patience is the key, this Nucks team is going to kill it next year, now the last thing on my Free Agent wish list Shane Doan (a long shot, but hey we got the money) and you may as well start mapping out the 2012-2013 Cup parade route! GO NUCKS BABY!
Vancanwincup
Really, this is very risky considering the short resume, and the reaction is more than a little hypocritical when you consider the endless whining by most about Luongo's more than reasonable cap hit. Seems more like desperation by MG, rather than genious. Let's pray this guy turns out to be the real deal and not another Ballard or Booth albatross. Wonder how long before AV benches the guy.
