boozer
Canucks currently have 2 right handed defensemen and 5 left handed defensemen. People are saying if we get weber edler should be gone. I don't think that is smart because edler is a great defensmen. He isn't as good as weber but he is still very good and gets paid less money. He is only 26 yeats old and he had a career year with 49 points. Weber had the same amount of points. Edler gets paid significantly less money and puts up around the same amount of points. Edler should stay a canuck.
Kassian
I haven't seen one report where Edler was even mentioned. All this speculation is being driven by CDC.
canuckfan_sincebirth
I love Edler but how much do you think he's going to be asking for next year after seeing Garrison get 4.6. Edlers gonna be getting atleast 5 imo.
-Vintage Canuck-
Umm... who said we are trading Edler besides the people including him in their proposals? MG is smart enough to not trade him. Weber would be nice, but too expensive.
Xbox
The only report I have seen lately was invalid and included Ballard. Edler isn't in any trade situation

CanucksFanMike
I completely agree.... but Edler is a great young asset which many teams would love to havem, therefore would include in a trade package going their way. If it means getting Weber, we may have to give Edler.
Burrrrkes
Next year situation will be difficult with edler and weber set to become ufas. If we do resign edler then that certainly means we won't be signing weber. It depends on which defensemen MG values the most and which defensemen would come here for a reasonable price. Erik Karlsson
I can see Edler getting close to 6 million, if he does, he better improve a lot.
Avicii
In this day in age, a player is only paid as well as his last year played. I don't really know, Edler left me with a bitter taste in my mouth due to his pathetic playoff performance. I'm sure his contract will depend how well he can bounce back from that pathetic series against the Kings.

Super_Canuck
Well I think he would definitely be in the discussion if a call was made by gillis to inquire about Weber...gotta give up quality to get quality
