oldnews
Dubinsky, McDonaugh, Stepan, Kreider, and a first? If true, those are some asinine expectations. That could qualify, alongside the Lindros deal to Philly, as one of the worst trades in NHL history.

Krazz
Jackets want too much for him. $10/year cap hit, and regularly finishes outside of top 10 in NHL scoring. Yes he had a good showing at the Olympics, and a few World Championships, but his NHL play does not justify paying him that much, let alone giving up what the Jackets want for him. Bobby Ryan makes way less, and has produced more points than Nash in the last 3 years. He is also younger.
Spoosh
I don't think he's overrated. The guy puts up 30-40 goal per year on a poor Columbus team. He can put up those numbers on all 30 teams in the league and well beyond that with the right tools to complement his skills. Howson needs to pull the trigger on a deal though, cuz the team and all the other players need stability and the attention of the management and owners for the upcoming season. It is only fair that they put the team together and focus on the guys that are there this fall, not on the one who will be gone.
Duodenum
Quite the price tag for a complimentary player, you're in superstar territory with those demands. Even guys like Tomas Fleischmann and Blake Wheeler put up more points than him.
