Ossi Vaananen
You counted Hiller twice. So we get Anaheim's star player and their offseason signing, while Toronto gets a handful of picks - none of them first round - while giving Lupul back to the market he wasn't good in originally. This was remarkably stupid.

Phil_314
First of all, why is Toronto even in this trade? I doubt they would move Lupul, who is clicking with Kessel, and the Leafs want to make the playoffs so why would they dump him just to get a starter? Trading another of their young guns in Kulemin doesn't help, and the picks going every which way... Secondly, the Ducks have their starter in Hiller who I highly doubt would be moved to Toronto just so Lu can come over as the #1. With Bobby Lu out of the equation, why would they offer Perry and Allen for a redundant goalie, Ballard (underachieving and overpaid D they have already) and Raymond (3rd line winger-- at best) What a mess. Master Mind
Ryan will be traded before Perry. Ducks won't trade Allen two weeks after signing him. Leafs are trying to make the playoffs, this trade wouldn't help them do that.

Anaheim gets Luongo; a good, young d-man in Tanev; a few picks. Also creates more salary space to re-sign Getzlaf and Perry. Toronto gets better goaltending with a manageable contract; a top-9 winger. They also do not give up any good prospects and don't blow up their roster. Would be interested to see who would go along with these deals.

Smashian Kassian
You didn't put a gap geek for us? You put Vancouver: but then after that it was Toronto's. As for the deal. I'm gunna guess that 1st round pick that you didn't associate to anyone comes from Toronto, and since you put Hiller twice, TOR gets him and we don't. Anyways.. Toronto Gives: Lupul, Kulemin, 1st Gets: Hiller, 1st, 2nd, 2nd Vancouver Gives: Luongo, Ballard, Raymond Gets: Perry, Allen Anaheim Gives: Perry, Allen, Hiller, 1st, 2nd Gets: Luongo, Ballard, Raymond, Lupul, Kulemin, 1st Vancouver: Our's is not bad, although I would like one more worthwhile piece, nothing to big just something that could be useful. Toronto: I'm not sure Toronto would do that, lets say the 1st's cancel each other out, so it's basicly Lupul for Hiller and Kulemin for two 2nds, and they want to build a team now not get draft picks and wait for players. So they wouldn't do it. Anaheim: I'm not sure why they would do it, they have a capable goalie in Hiller, so basicly all they do it swap Hiller for Luongo then trade Perry for Lupul and some complementary pieces. It would make them beeper but I'm not sure really why they would want to do this. Maybe change Perry to Ryan and then Kulemin to Bozak since they want a 2nd like center and want to keep Perry. I'm not sure they would do it either. The only team that would be on board right away is us, we are just trading pieces that seems to be expendable for the big return, the other team's deals aren't terrible but would need to be tweaked. Jai604
Haha, oh man, how many 3-way trades do you guys ever see? This one makes no sense on so many levels I don't even know where to start. This trade makes no sense for neither Anaheim nor Toronto. It's basically just the Canucks fleecing the crap out of two teams. Why do people keep thinking we can land a premier top-6 forward for Luongo? It's just not going to happen.
