Jägermeister
Wouldn't get that much out of Florida. Weiss is pretty much untouchable.
Canuck919191
lol people underrating Weiss like crazy. They aren't giving up their best player for a slight goalie upgrade.

PaulKariyaALH
Nash's return was much less than that, and he had a lot more value than Luongo, we're not going to get anything close to that, probably a 3rd liner a decent prospect and a pick

Bure fan
I'd hardly say he's untouchable. He is a great centre, but for the right price, I would put money on it that he comes back in a deal for Luongo. He would be a fantastic 2nd/3rd line centre. If down the middle we had: H.Sedin R.Kesler S.Weiss M.Lapierre We would be set for another cup run. Signing Doan and acquiring Weiss, along with Garrison would put us well over the top. There would be virtually no weakness in the line-up once Kes is back.

Tortorella's Rant
A respectable deal for Luongo and Doan would be GREAT additions to this team. And people want to sell the farm for Weber.
Canuck919191
It's not just a "slight" goalie upgrade lol, I think you're underrating Luo. But yeah they're not giving up Weiss.
Tystick
He'll win them a couple more games than they did last season and won't do anything in the playoffs because their roster isn't good enough. I don't see why they would be itching to acquire him.

Alchemy Time
A star goalie and a star forward fill in 2 totally different roles and needs; a star forward can't stop pucks from going in.
-CANUCKS94-
Weiss is getting overlooked in most Luongo to Florida deals. He has proven he can put up 50-60 points a season, and might be just what Booth needs to get going. He also fits nicely into the 3rd line centre role when Kes is back. With that being said, I wouldn't mind a return of Colborne and Franson from Toronto..

Canuck919191
I'll break it down for you: Last season, the Florida Panthers made the playoffs for the first time in a 12 year drought, and on top of that they won their first ever division title. That being said, Luongo is a star goalie who will get them to the playoffs. Their division isn't very strong, so being at the top of the division means: 1. Division Title 2. Playoff spot 3. Tickets sold 4. Money earned 5. Tallon keeps his job. Also, Luongo's family resides in Florida, and he's the biggest name on the market right now (as far as Goalies go), so that is why Tallon will trade for Luongo. The best part is, it will only cost him one of his three prospects. Right now, he's trying to low ball Gillis, but eventually he will cave, andt this trade will benefit him greatly if he's looking to win now.
