Where's Wellwood
Whenever a team releases a statement saying they signed a player, there is always a sentence in the statement saying something along the lines of 'according to club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed'. How then, does every news outlet almost immediately know exactly how long each contract is and for how much and which clauses, NTC, NMC, or otherwise, are included and whether there's a signing bonus or not? Where do they get this info?

G-52
once its registered with the league it is publicly accessible, Im not sure why all the clubs have a policy that they dont share the info since we will all know what it is within the hour. Common sense
I'm sure guys like Dreger and Bobby Mac have friends working for NHL. They would be happy to provide them with the info once it's finalized.
