How does the media find out the term and money involved in contracts?

Recommended Posts

Whenever a team releases a statement saying they signed a player, there is always a sentence in the statement saying something along the lines of 'according to club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed'.

How then, does every news outlet almost immediately know exactly how long each contract is and for how much and which clauses, NTC, NMC, or otherwise, are included and whether there's a signing bonus or not?

Where do they get this info?
