Canuck Surfer
Visnovsky is a good defenceman. Can he still rush the puck, which we do lack? Answer, probably. But he's another left side guy on a good buck, power play specialist. I don't see enough fit, as he would be 3rd pairing in all likelihood. Why not just get some games in for Connauton, or go for a guy that fills more of our needs... We lack a puck rushing D (if you discount Ballard as not that guy, which Garrison might unleash by being the right partner), and a big bruiser. Makes more sense if we trade Edler, if we have difficulty signing him... And of course Edler would be a more significant trade independent of Visnovsky. And I don't see that either? Canuck Surfer
Keeping the wolves at bay? Its' not an accident either! Love that commercial. Never understood the random inclusion of wolves however.
CanucksFanMike
this makes absolutely no sense.... Ballard is probably a better no. 5 dman and he gets paid less (still too much for a no. 5 but less than Visnovsky) No thanks

Canucksbiggestfan
If Doan doesn't sign and Visnovsky goes back to Anaheim then this is what I would do... Van: 2014 2nd Round Pick, 2013 4th Round Pick Ana: Lubomir Visnovsky Then trade Luongo to Florida Van: Roberto Luongo Fla: Shawn Matthias, Michal Repik, Colby Robak, 2013 1st Round Pick The line up would be Sedin-Sedin-Burrows Booth-Kesler-Raymond Higgins-Matthias-Hansen Lapierre-Malhotra-Weise Repik Hamhuis-Bieksa Edler-Garrison Visnovsky-Ballard Tanev Schneider UFA Goalie (Nittymakki, Ellis, Huet) Would be a pretty solid Defence, this would only happen if Doan doesn't sign here and Visnovsky goes back to Anaheim. Also Visnovsky only has 1 year left on his contract.
