It's already been said in the Arnott rumour threads that it's one or the other, not both he and Doan. Arnott would be a plan B if Doan goes elsewhere.

The other thing I don't get about many of the Luongo for Bjugstad scenarios is most people want to include Florida's 1st without giving up much extra. Remember, Luongo isn't a dire need for them as they have Markstrom nearing a starters role and their tandem of Clemmensen and Theodore was ok last year. Luongo improves them, no doubt, and does offer a little more cap hit when they still need to hit the floor, but that'll likely not be a worry in the new CBA.

Back to the pick, any 1st is a bonus, but theirs won't be a high 1st if they can improve on last year's results. If you're already asking for Bjugstad, then it'll be hard to get Florida to part with their pick, especially when people want to include one of their backup goalies as well. A 3rd won't cut it as a throw in to get the extras.

I could see if you were going after Matthias or someone lesser than Bjugstad to try and get the 1st, but Florida is already reluctant to move top prospects so to get their 1st as well - even if Luongo is still a very good goalie - is asking too much.

I think we should try:

Sedins-Doan

Burrows-Kes-Kassain(Kassain has playmaking potential)

Booth-Arnott(He isnt need though but would give us a better bottom 6)-Higgins

Raymond-Lappy-Hansen

Bieska-Hamhuis

Elder-Ballard(If Ballard can play right)

Garrison-Tanev(Garrison gets a good skater and a very good passer)

Goalies are fine.
