quietboy2005
Without the Sedins and Luongo they'd be on the golf course by March.

DownUndaCanuck
If we never had the Sedins we would have remained a middle-of-the-pack team without a true 1st line. Kesler would have been good enough on our top line to keep this team hovering around the 10th spot in the West, but our offence wouldn't be horrible enough to land us a high draft pick. Then again without Luongo we would have rushed Schneider into the league and ruined his development, so we'd have a goalie but not a great one. Probably stay around the 12th spot in the West overall, never get any good picks and just suck for eternity.

thehamburglar
No where. Luongo got many free agents to sign here, knowing they were willing to pay and give long term contracts to players they believe in. He brought us to the other level. Sedins? No scoring, Kesler's line is secondary as are all other ones. Sedins take basically all the pressure of scoring, or setting up others to score. MoneypuckOverlord
Depends what you mean. If you meant we never got the Sedins in the 1st place, the core of our team will be run by someone else or a different group of 2 to 3 players.

Red Dragons
We would of had the worst team in the league for a along time. Those three are the back bone of the canucks. Lou is the best goalie this franchise has ever had and it is brutal that he is going to be leaving this team. What can you say about the twins that has not been said, absolute superstars. But i have this question, would the sedins of turned into the stars they are now if they would have been drafted by two different teams and never played together?. Sharpshooter
If you put it that way, the flames are pretty bad....seeing that they can't get a high draft pick but can't get into the playoffs either
-Vintage Canuck-
The Islanders. But hey at least, we would get the 1st overall pick some time.
Ryanstorm
We'd be a low class team. But we would have other talent to fill the cap. So realistically losing 2 first liners, and a goalie. We wouldn't be great but we would be in the top 15 now that I think about it.
shazzam
if you're talking about next season, we'll have Schneider as a starter and over 17 million cap space to find a backup and 2 top line players. Also, we'll have whatever return we get for the Sedins and Luongo.
kylecanuck
Simple. Would of skipped the 99 draft traded our picks for the top four picks in 2000. Draft Dipietro, heatly, Gaborik, and hartnel. Traded dipietro, and our next #1 pick to the islanders for Chara, McCabe, and a second. We have today Gaborik-heatly-hartnel booth-Kesler-Doan Kassian-lapierre-burrows Hanson-malhotra-pinizoti Chara-McCabe Edler-hamhuis Bieksa-Tanev Schnieder Lack
TimberWolf
The answer you want is we would suck without them and you would be right if you don't factor in all the other posibilities. When you are speculating, you need to to consider more then what you want to hear. There were some deep drafts after the Sedins, who knows? Maybe we would have got all Chicago's picks and be cup champions now. But yes, If we never drafted the Sedins, and somehow never awarded high draft picks for being terrible like other teams, I suppose we'd be bad now. Gauntlet
Probably be a bubble team like Dallas, Phoenix, or Calgary. If we were to make the playoffs any given, we'd lose in the first round unless we played against a choke artist team like San Jose.
