[Proposal] Best 2012-2013 Canucks Line-up in the WORLD! (I guarantee a cup)

Recommended Posts

Yeah maybe I exaggerate but I have nothing to do and am okay with some flaming for this entirely possible but somewhat realistic proposal. I went into capgeek in a I want to win the Stanley Cup NOW mentality. It doesn't fit w/ MG's mantra of harder, better, faster, stronger, younger, bigger. I wanted to set ourselves up for a winning season b/c frankly, I don't care what happens in the next 5 years as long as I have one cup.

Here's what happens in GM Aloha Vancouver's tenure:

To Vancouver: Kris Versteeg, Peter Mueller, 1st (I realize they've just been signed)

To Florida: Roberto Luongo, Mason Raymond, Jannik Hansen, Manny Malhotra (Cap dumps)

NOTE: The trade might be lopsided one way or the other... You get the idea just add picks mentally to even it up or whatever... I know lots of CDC'ers love Nick Bjugstad so maybe take out Mueller and the first and pencil him in? Whatever...

Signings:

Shane Doan @ 5.5 M

Kristian Huselius @ 2.1 M

All these things and this is what you get

This team would be stacked to the roof if these trades were pulled off. If its a stupid roster then whatever but if MG pulled this off, GM of the year for sure. I cant imagine not winning a cup looking at a roster like this. I'm bored so tell me what you think.

Juggle the lines however it pleases you but Huselius is LW and Versteeg RW so that'd mean Booth on the third?... It's the ideas that I'm talking about. Don't get caught up in the details cuz I guess thats AV's job. And Florida would definitely trade Mueller if the right deal (the one previously slated) came along...

If you really want him more than Mueller, but seriously? This guy has like Malkin potential when he's in the zone. It'd be terrible to miss out on an opportunity like him

Why Hasn't Gillis done this? :

Trade: Luongo for Lecavalier

Sign : Doan, Kurtis Foster, Gilbert Brule.

Trade: Ballard for prospects

Dump/Retire: Malhotra

These six realistic moves will transform the Canucks into true Cup favorites.

Yzerman has been trying to dump Lecavaliers salary with no takers. His contract term and salary are a liitle harsh but he would fit perfectly on this team.

If they can't sign Doan then sign Arnott.

Scoring and grit on all lines. Perfect mixture of right and left hand shots. Show me a better lineup that is realistic!!!

- Depth

- Players on all lines that can move up and down the lineup

- Lack of scoring is how we lost in the last three playoffs, averaging only 1.2 goals/game in the last 3 playoff elimination rounds.

Just found out Brule signed in Europe. Balls!!!!!!!

Raymond's trade value is very low right now. He has a lot of potential and i think he is still a good fit. If you look at Raymond's underlying stats(CORSI) he is way better than Lappy and one of the best on the team over the last 3 seasons. Lappy and Raymond would alternate on the fourth line. Raymond is not a liability when on the ice. He creates lots in the offensive end zone and doesn't get trapped or scored on a lot in his own zone.
