Just saw redskins will be announcing tomorrow that they will change their nickname

I think they should keep their logo and change their new name to the Washington Americans.

I've thought for years that If they change their name it should be changed to Americans

I'm leaning towards Washington Warriors.

That plays into same kinda thing why they are changing the name to begin with..

Unless they change the logo they can't be warriors imo..

There are many warriors.  ;)

Have to admit, I sort of like the idea of using an indigenous person as the logo for a team called the “Americans.” Especially in the USA, where their claim on the term “American” is already a bit problematic (since there are lots of “Americans” spread over two continents). Would be kind of cool to see “Americans” depicted as the first people to actually inhabit these lands, especially for a team representing the capital of the USA.

That all said, I think continuing to use the logo might encourage some people to continue to use the old name. And the point of the change is to put an end to having a team called the Washington [Racial Slurs] in the NFL.

Idk what’s worse this mans takes or his ability to block at an NFL level

He's got a bright future after the Bengals cut him. He can join OANN to cover the coronavirus.

This asshole quotes Hitler but yet he still has the job in the NFL.

If we are going to be equal, we have to be treated equally, they should cut his ass!

Eagles were in a tough spot especially after Riley Cooper, they set a terrible precedent there. Most of the team is black, owner has Jewish roots, from an optics perspective it would have not have been good. I think based on all those factors they made the right decision, as cutting him I believe would have led to some turmoil.

Alex Katai that played for L.A galaxy got cut because his wife posted some racist stuff.

We have to apply same rules for all the NFL players, league has always been cesspool of criminal behavior but what’s right is right.

Just like that other moron Nick Cannon got the boot from Viacom.

I don't disagree with you, I think he should have been cut and probably would have been if not for Riley Cooper. Based on that I understand the reasoning of the organization, they got caught in a rock and a hard place. Times may have changed since then but people would have still blamed it on bias especially with the owner's background. The NFL will probably always be a majority black league, no owner wants that kind of stigma.

Also I am not sure I agree with someone getting fired for their spouse's thoughts.

Cooper should have been tossed out as well and I agree with you about Katai.

Double standard just bothers me, because if you or me quoted AH, you bet they would have made an example out of us.
