Never thought I'd say this but go Eagles!

It's pretty sad, but this I think is a make or break game for the 49ers. If they lose this and go 1-3, they'll never catch the Seahawks nor the Cardinals.

And losing to teams like the Eagles, Cards, and Chicago, won't bode well with a schedule that includes the Broncos, Chargers, Chiefs, not to mention 2 games vs. Seahawks and another game vs. the Cards.

It's funny how teams are trying to emulate the Seahawks toughness on Defense. Talib dropped a flying elbow and got penalized and fined for it. The Saints were taking major cheapshots last year at the Hawks. That isn't toughness. Keep trying, no one can measure up, no one...

All that Seahawks toughness stems from their 2 all pro safeties. Rest are smack talkers trying to be hard. Guess Mebanes aight too!

Dont act like Seahawks don't take cheapshots themself. Plus I would wager that the seahawks were running their mouths all game

Never thought eh? Eagles play the Seahawks too at home later in the year. I like their chances to beat Seattle by not having to travel to Century Link but that's for later.

You mean the same Eagles that barely beat the Redskins giving up 34 points to them in the process? Eagles have a better chance at beating the 9ers tomorrow in SanFran than they do the Seahawks at home. We'll see I guess. They are a dynamic offense but the defense is suspect.

By then I'm hoping the d improves as the season goes along and that the offence has a game plan to attack the Seattle d. I still think the Eagles have a chance.

Seattle is almost impossible to beat at home without playing a perfect game. On the road they are not as intimidating I think without the 12th man to pump them up.

They aren't as good on the road that's for sure but they aren't as bad on the road as they used to be haha. They would go 8-0 at home and 2-6 on the road a few years ago. They've improved overall. Either way, the Superbowl will be won by another NFC team this year, hopefully the Hawks. Denver is the only team in the AFC that remotely has a chance at making it to the Superbowl.

Alright, put $10 down on:

Colts to beat Titans - Whitehurst is starting for the Titans on the road

Steelers to beat Bucs - It's the Bucs, anything more needed to be said?

Falcons to beat Vikings - Falcons offense welcomes back White, while rookie Bridgewater in for Minnesota

Saints to beat Cowboys - Tony Romo

I mean, come on, that SHOULD be a winning ticket .. Colts, Steelers, Falcons should be no brainers, and the Saints know they can't drop to 1-3 whereas the Cowboys won last week so as their history would predict, they will continue on their .500 path and lose this week.

Can't wait for the Lions game today. Looking at each defence it is going to have to be whoever passes the ball best which should bode well for the Lions.

The Jets have run the ball well so far, but Detroit has got the second best run defence (Not surprising) and the #1 ranked defence (shocking). So if we can force the Jets to pass frequently and let Geno sling it around to Kerley, Cumberbatch and a less than 100% Decker I think we win.

On offence there is no way the Lions will run the ball that well. Haven't been able to that well against Green Bay so it probably won't happen against the Jets with their beasts Wilkerson and Richardson blowing up the interior of our offensive line which has taken a serious step back this year.

However I think we escape with the win as I think we will be successful in the passing game today. From what I've read the Jets like to play one safety high and the other closer to the line. If they continue to do that I expect Golden Tate to have a huge game because if they are smart that safety will play closer to Calvin's side leaving Golden's with minimal safety help.

Final score:

Detroit 21 - 13 New York

What are your thoughts on reports that both the Lions and Suh have prepared for, and accepted a mutual parting this upcoming off season when Suh becomes a free agent?

In an emoticon :sadno:, but this might work as well

Honestly though it's something Lions fans have been thinking was a pretty strong possibility. Suh has all the leverage in this situation because he wants to be paid ALOT.

I think Detroit would have no problem making him the highest paid tackle in the league, but are wary about making him the highest paid defensive player as they already have so much money tied up in Stafford and Johnson. Right now they have over 50+ million tied up in those 3 players (or over 1/3 of their team salary) and both Stafford in 2 years time their salaries will have raised a combined almost 20 million (Yes I had to do research for those numbers :P ) They just can't afford to do it and Suh knows if he hits free agency somebody will for sure give him what he wants.

As for being able to fill the void, if there is one team that may be able to recover from losing Suh it would be Detroit I think. If they resign Fairley him and CJ Mosley are by no means slouches as well as our rookie Caraun Reid has by all reports been impressive and I'm sure we would pick another DT in at least the first 2 rounds next year.

We won't be able to replace the dominant force he is right away (maybe not ever). There just isn't another defensive tackle with his combination of size, speed and strength around. But I think the position group is strong enough so there is only a slight drop and it doesn't go off a cliff.

* Side note my percentage that he stays in Detroit is 25%. I personally think he might end up in Oakland, they have tons of cap after clearing for the last couple years and he kind of fits that stereotypical Raider player
