If you ask me, he's a loser.

He's in the "entertainment" industry and like it or not, people want to know things about him.

He's a great player but he needs to be more approachable to the media, and fans and drop that bloody attitude...or chip on his shoulder or whatever he's got.

Who wants to know more about him? Seahawks fans don't care. Those are the only people that should matter to any Seattle player outside of the team.

yup hes the man all right. Just something to think about (i know lynch didn't)

According to a 2009 Sports Illustrated article, 78% of National Football League players are either bankrupt or in financial trouble within two years of retirement. Many high profile players venture into broadcasting jobs after their career to keep the money flowing in. Who the hell would hire this guy After this stunt?

who votes in the nhl hall of Famers? I thought it was media personnel? If so who the hell in the media would vote for this clown?

lastly, what's the big deal? Why cant he talk to the media for 5 minutes. Just humour us. 99% of the other pro athletes in the world can manage it. I'd be embarrassed if a sedin pulled a stunt like this. But they dont because they're a little classier than Mr. Lynch over there.

One guy on this team won't talk. You can't stop another guy on the team from yapping about him being the best all day. There has to be a happy middle.

I hope they get destroyed on sunday.

Why does he have to say anything? The dude just wants to play football. Who says you have to be a certain way? I think it's cool he's doing whatever the f he wants.

He's one of the best at his job and he's a champion. Oh and the Sedins are classy as hell I agree but hey how many championships?? Just saying...

I was there to see my children being born, however, I wasn't on a SB roster at the time.

I would be at the game.....and I'm positive my wife would understand.

Thanks for sharing your opinion as a parent.

Now, would you feel that way if you had just won the super bowl 12 months ago, know the experience, know what it feels like, and know that with the way your team is built you're more likely than not to be back in that position before your career is over?

Because, there is only one first child ever. You don't get a second first child.

Also, if I'm not mistaken, Sherman is a man of faith and Christ and religion. If he puts/values family above all else, I wonder if that impacts his decision.

Why does he have to say anything?

From Seattle reporter Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times:

Standard NFL contracts require that players talk to the media, stating: “Player will cooperate with the news media, and will participate upon request in reasonable activities to promote the Club and the League.”

If he wants to rake in the millions, he can put on his big boy pants and respect his contract. His contract doesn't say he have to answer in a certain way, so I don't have a problem with his childish, repetitive responses. But to the people who always say "why won't the NFL leave him alone" , it's because it's in his contract. If the NFL left him alone, do you know how many players would be like "F that, if he doesn't have to talk, I ain't either."

The guy clearly has zero neurological issues if he can go on TV shows and commercials and do skits with Conan O'Brien and Skittles and grab his crotch in front of 80 thousand people and many million more watching on TV.

I fixed some of it for you.

It's incredible how many Seahawks fans don't know Brady was drafted later than Wilson when I bring it up when they gush about how a guy drafted in the 3rd round can win back to back super bowls.

I don't really blame them, they probably weren't around until 2010, and Wilson dropping was an actual story since he had the talent, whereas Brady was a kid from Michigan getting ready to work on a golf course. But still, at least do your research people!

It's crazy how this: TOM-BRADY-PIC-1-380x250.jpg has gone on to be one of the greatest QBs ever.

Well he does honor his contract and answer the questions. It may not be in proper form but he's doing whatever the f he wants lol and its cray! I just think it's hilarious that people expect everyone to act the same cause it's politically correct and all that bs. Especially in sports. Class class class. Screw class.

Yeah, like I said, I don't really care if all he says is "ok" to every single question, but it's funny when plea for the NFL to "leave him alone" as if he's a child. If he had some sort of problem, the Seattle doctors would've come out a long time ago with a diagnosis to excuse him from media appearances.

Yeah Id rather watch them play than give cliche answers to questions.

what a world it would be if you could have both. Could you imagine. Being able to interact with a role model and lean about them through some type of social entertainment. That'll be the day. he should charge people for signing autographs too.

If he really wanted to impress he should have not gone to the presser at all. Not it seems hes just a giant money driven baby.

Interesting take on the Hawks - not that I care, well...I cared enough to share it:

http://red207.bangordailynews.com/2015/01/29/have-we-forgotten-the-seahawks-checkered-relationship-with-ethics/

The Bangor Daily News? Man, that's digging deep, H.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that a guy from Maine just might be pulling for the Pats...

I'm sure glad we're getting close to game day. I don't know about anyone else, but I am sick of seeing posts about "deflate-gate" and what Marshawn didn't say to the media today...

Yes to your first question.

As to your second, I can't speak for all parents, but the birth of my first child in no way meant more to me than that of my second.
