And talking about Teddy, he'll be Pats honorary caption for tomorrow's game. If that's not enough motivation, idk what is. Hopefully it lights a fire under the team.

If they need something other than it being the super bowl to light a fire under them theyve already lost.

Seahawks 28 Patriots 10. Lynch MVP

In all honesty and in simplest terms, the outcome of a Pats loss/win will rely on this one determining factor: if Pats score more than 21 points, 24 to be safe, they'll win the SB. If not, they'll lose.

I've seen the Pats play for so many years now and the SB's appearances, an reoccurring theme that always shows up determining whether they win or lose is if the offense can score enough for the defense to hold the fort down.

SB XXXVI: Pats 20, Rams 17, win.

SB XXXVIII: Pats 32, Panthers 29, win.

SB XXXVIX: Pats 24, Philly 21, win.

SB XLII: Pats 14, Giants 17, loss.

SB XLVI: Pats 17, Giants 21, loss.

..see the pattern? Why I said a few days Pats offense has to start hot right off the get go or else it'll be too little too late, especially with that defense we're going up against.

And not just a history lesson, take a look this season at all the Pats losses:

WK 1: Pats 20, Dolphins 33

WK 4: Pats 14, Chiefs 44

WK 13 Pats 21, Packers 26

WK 17: Pats 9, Bills 17 (even though starters were benched)

All the other wins, Pats scored at least 23 points disregarding a game or 2 they scored less than that against crap teams like the Raiders and Jets.

Telling you guys, this will determine the game right here. Last 2 SB's have ticked me off because we know the Pats are capable of scoring more but they didn't. Slow start, didn't get a rhythm going and they lost. Usually I'd say 21 points is enough but against an opponent like Seattle, 24 is the number the Pats should be aiming for if they want to come out with a win. Assume they get at least 1 turnover in the game as well, it will be crucial to put points up on the board.

Oh, and managing the clock. Losses to Giants they controlled the clock by a large margin and won. Pats shouldn't change and continue to run and pass, not just pass. If they can do these 2 things, I personally guarantee they'll win.

Odell Beckham Jr. offensive rookie of the year. Was there ever any doubt.

He is special for sure. Already proved he was a great route runner as a rookie and the fact he played with a not totally 100% hamstring and still made explosive plays wow he could scary things next year if he is fully healthy.

He is an truly amazing athlete which makes him a great football player too. He is tough and competitive too. I could see him being in the top 5 in receiving yards and challenging Antonio Brown as the league yardage leader.

If Victor Cruz comes back strong that is going to be a scary good receiving core if Ruben Randle takes the next step too.

Hope Eagles have Josh Huff step up or sign or draft another wide receiver to be a deep threat to clear the box a little bit for McCoy those Giants seem pretty set at receiver if Cruz is good to go.

Sooo.... Trash talk and mocking during the game on this thread or the Super Bowl GDT or both?

I'm just going to have fun trolling either team's fans if the score gets out of hand. Although it will be doubly fun if it's the Patriots that I get to mock.

:(((

I remember arguing with a lot of people about that last play. I understand that the Titans were using Wycheck to clear out and that Dyson was supposed to have a clear lane up the middle, but they counted on the Rams biting and although it worked after a fashion, Mike Jones was able to recover before Dyson could get in.

I hated the call because it counted on the Rams being fooled. IMHO, with one play left, you have to take a shot at the end zone. McNair had gotten them to the 10 yd line and I think he could have gotten them into the end zone with a better play call.

Yeah that was such a bad call. Why you would risk that in a Superbowl is crazy. I’d rather have 2 shots to the end zone than an underneath slant. That was weird for sure.
