On the last 2 drives in the 4th quarter with the game on the line, Brady was 14/15 over 100 yards and 2 TD's against "LOB" .

One of the biggest plays was Gronk vs Chancellor 1 on 1 with 4:30 left and Gronk flat out beats him for 20 yards. Where'd all those people who were saying how Chancellor was gonna light up Gronk go? Remember when over the last 2 weeks all I heard was how Chancellor and Wagner would destroy Edelman over the middle? Oh ya, he had over 100 yards on 9 catches and the game winning TD.

GJ NPF. Classy in victory....

Yo NPF ... congrats, I gave you crap before the game but you've been pretty classy in victory. Enjoy the win, great game, one of the best SBs ever. Pats pulled the victory out of the proverbial 'arse' with a real strong pick at the end. I've still got your sig blocked though.

No one is talking about the championship play by Butler and it sucks it'll always get over looked by "the call" .

The call itself actually was set up to work. They ran a rub route and Lockette was wide open. Butler who was the deep corner on the outside read the play and left his position and jolted forward to beat Lockette to the ball.

If Butler stays in his position and doesn't leave his responsibility and not listen to his instinct, Lockette catches that easily and Carroll is praised for his brilliant play call.

(but ya I would've ran it 4 straight times if I had Lynch LOL)

Of course it was a very good play by Butler, and he'll be remembered for it for a long time, but if Carroll called the run like he should have, that play would never have existed.

I feel terrible for the Seahawks players and I'm not even a Seahawks fan. If they were playing against any other AFC playoff team, I would have rooted against them.

Brady is definitely in the mix for being considered one of the Top 5 QB's of all time. One more Superbowl win and he'll be in the discussion for the best to ever play the game.

Ordered 3 shirts right after the speeches and Lombardi presentation was done. Was lucky to grab 3 (2 short sleeved and a long sleeve) in my size as nearly everything from the Patriots pro shop was already sold out. NFL.com pro shop may have some left. 1 of them is sick, says Super Bowl XLIX Champions with New England Patriots under it, then the logo, and then "We are all Patriots" under that.

Also to the d*ckwads in the game day thread saying "How did Brady win MVP he didn't even do anything."

He put up over 300 yards passing and 4 touchdowns against the #1 pass defense in the NFL. He outscored the best defense in the NFL 14-0 in the fourth quarter. Yeah he threw 2 interceptions, 1 was just a horrible Geno Smith type interception and the 2nd was a fabulous athletic adjustment by Wagner. But he still came back from those mistakes to lead his team down the field in the dying minutes of the game and threw the game winning touchdown to cap off his 9th playoff game winning drive (most in NFL history).

I understand they're pathetic haters who, like blind sheep, will hate anything that's successful for too long (I don't make this comment towards the real Seahawks fans, because I know it wasn't them who made the Brady MVP comments, I know exactly who it was and it was posters who never come in the NFL thread), but don't make asinine comments when you probably can't name 5 NFL rules without using google.

I'm a little fired up and there's quite a bit of Sam Adams Boston Lager in me, so I might wake up tomorrow and edit this if I feel I went overboard ;)

I agree that Brady had an excellent game, but if I was selecting the MVP of that game, it would have gone to Edleman. Nothing to do with "hate".

Actually, I was being sarcastic. I didn't think there was anything classy about the post that I quoted. Basically a guy who's team won, now rubbing it in.

Get outta here with that BS. You know there were Hawks fans swarming in here the last 2 weeks talking about how Chancellor was god and was going to knock out everyone. If the Hawks won this thread would be spammed with Brady jokes. If people are gonna talk cr*p before the game they better expect it right back at them after the game. Funny how none of them are in here right now, probably waiting for the mall to open to return their jerseys.

Oh ... then I'll remove the quote from you. NPF was being statistical which at least is objective ...

I'm here. When the game is all finished and done, this is what should be done. If players can, so can fans.

Giving and taking crap is what football is about ;)

I know a lot of people have my sig blocked, I have some video sigs blocked too. Might remove the video and change my sig in a couple weeks to reflect yesterday.

I didn't hear it quite said that way, but the point is moot.

The classy thing would have been to ignore it, rather than come back afterward and rub it in. But hey, your team won, so carry on with the gloating.

Edelman definitely had the gutsy performance, but they look at the stats to name the MVP and Brady had 4 TDs to 4 different receivers while setting numerous records such as most completions, most TDs and most game winning drives against the league's #1 pass defense 3 years running.

I wanna add in, respect to Sherman. I think he was the first or one of the first to go congratulate Tom.

The picture circulating around is Brady taking the knee with Sherman's arm outreached. But the picture not circulating is the one that happened seconds after when Brady stood up.

Do an interception sig soon and keep it for a week. That would be a pretty good subtle troll job.

So I still haven't seen the reason behind the mini brawl at the end of the game. What happened there?

Nothing. Hawks players were just butthurt they lost, and more so they got caught on the snap count before which took away a safety and a last chance at maybe getting a hail marry. Young team/defense, emotions blew over. So pathetic lol.

And Dont'a Hightower is under growing surgery for a toe labrum. Incredible, this guy. So young, so great, takes over from Mayo, and he's had this poking at him since a month or so agao. Absolute warrior, said he played the SB "with one arm hanging".

Yup, he came out in the 2nd quarter I believe for a few plays holding his shoulder. Was so glad to see him come back. Anything to win. Like they've been saying since week 4: Do Your Job.

Agreed, Ns, it'd be quite boring if, take you and I for example, were always like Brady/Wilson in press conferences. Just an endless amount of compliments towards each other. That doesn't create any sparks. :P

It's just a pet peeve when people poke their head in, make comments intended to piss off fans of said team, and then are never to be seen again when that said team ends up winning. Also called trolling.

Lots of respect for those who can dish it and take it. I dished it big time last year against Seattle and was the first to admit eating crow in this thread. At the end of the day, if you don't have thick skin, the NFL isn't for you.

Warren Sapp arrested for trying to pick up prostitutes in Arizona. NFL Network fires him

And even worse, Terrence Cody, formerly of the Ravens is arrested for animal cruelty. The story doesn't go into much detail, but (unconfirmed) internet scuttlebutt suggests that Cody was high and thought it would be fun to feed his dog to an alligator.

He sobered up, but apparently not until after the dog had suffered injuries that ultimately killed it.

Former Baltimore Ravens nose tackle Terrence Cody was indicted Monday morning for animal abuse involving a dog and an alligator, according to the Baltimore County Deputy State's Attorney in Maryland.

Cody, who was officially released by the Ravens on Monday, turned himself in when a warrant was issued and posted $10,000 bail. An investigation was started after Cody took his dog to a veterinarian for treatment and the dog subsequently died.

Here are the 15 counts facing Cody, according to Deputy State's Attorney John Cox:

Harry How/Getty ImageFormer Baltimore Ravens nose tackle Terrence Cody was indicted Monday for animal abuse involving a dog and an alligator.

• Two counts of aggravated animal cruelty involving a dog described as a Presa Canario Mastiff. Those are both felonies and carry a maximum incarceration of three years.

• Five counts of animal abuse or neglect involving the same dog.

• One count of illegal possession of an alligator.

• Five counts of animal abuse or neglect involving the alligator.

• One count of possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia.

• One count of possession of marijuana.

Cody, a 2010 second-round pick, was nearing the end of a one-year deal with the Ravens and would have been an unrestricted free agent on March 10. The Ravens announced their intention to release on Jan. 23. Monday was the first day that teams can officially cut players.

At his end-of-season news conference, Ravens coach John Harbaugh said the "threshold of tolerance" had changed after five players were arrested last offseason.

"It's a privilege to play in the National Football League," Harbaugh said on Jan. 10. "It's a privilege to be a part of the Ravens. There's a standard to uphold there, and we expect them to [do that]."

Cody, 26, wasn't expected to be re-signed as a free agent. Brandon Williams excelled in his first season as a starting nose tackle, and the Ravens have depth along the defensive line.

Last season, Cody played only one game after being on the physically unable to perform list for the first nine weeks of the season. His only season as a full-time starter came in 2011.
