Look around on twitter. Fans are going ape shi*t over the ridiculous excuses the Pats are presenting. Ex players and media dudes are talking about it too.

Yah like this ... now Pats making themselves look like fools ... I mean tools.

The 'deflator' was a term for losing weight? Pats fire back at Wells' report

"Mr. Jastremski would sometimes work out and bulk up — he is a slender guy and his goal was to get to 200 pounds. Mr. McNally is a big fellow and had the opposite goal: to lose weight. “Deflate” was a term they used to refer to losing weight. One can specifically see this use of the term in a Nov. 30, 2014 text from Mr. McNally to Mr. Jastremski: “deflate and give somebody that jacket.” (p. 87). This banter, and Mr. McNally’s goal of losing weight, meant Mr. McNally was the “deflator.” There was nothing complicated or sinister about it."

And you're surprised?

There could be concrete, hardcore proof that could suddenly emerge that proves innocence and fans and media dudes will go "ape sh*t" thinking it's all fake and the NFL was bought off, etc.

Like I said earlier, most people are just headline readers and don't bother opening up links and reading the article. Most of those people scroll through headlines while killing time sitting on the can. Headlines, especially Bleacher Report's, are designed to draw traffic by making things sound a lot more serious than they are. Unfortunately, most twitter people take a headline as the whole story.

Even if after the appeal Brady's suspension is eliminated or reduced, people will go ape sh*t because they just like to hate.

That's why Brady hasn't talked yet. It literally doesn't matter what comes out of his mouth, because the reaction is already pre-set.

I'm not sure what's so funny. This wasn't an assumption and a guess like the Ted Wells report was.

It's straight from their texts. Remember the texts? The text messages that are the apparent "smoking gun" ? :picard::lol:

Namath: Who can tell difference between a pound of air?

Also, think about, there are 32 teams in the NFL - only 1 is called the Patriots.

So any "polling" / Social media gauging is going to be just as one sided as that game was.

If all fan bases were the same size for example, only 3.125% would be biased for the patriots - that leaves a whopping 96.875% against them. One poll I saw says that 76.1 % of avid fans support the findings of the Wells report and the punishment doled out. Wow - that means, 20.775% of the fans of other teams are siding with the Patriots.

Jenny Craig better watch out for 1-900-DEF-LATR

You're partially right about the level of evidence but again, you're dismissing the fact Ideal Gas Law proves the Pats innocence. It's a straight forward, simple concept and by no means is it crazy rocket science. Watch this basic, elementary video on IGL and it'll give a reason as why the balls had lost air.

https://youtu.be/G2JdRB3bdFM

Let me further add on to the video and give a little session.

Using the Wells Report info PSI of the Patriots 11 balls (http://bit.ly/1cUVaPB), I'll take the average number that the 2 officials obtained of the PSI for each ball and apply it to the IGL. Why an average? Because it's inconsistent 2 officials could measure the balls seconds after one another and come up with different readings so the only way to make up for the discrepancy is to take the average PSI.

BALL 1: Blakeman - 11.50, Prioleau - 11.80, Average PSI = 11.650. .....PSI % drop = 3.1%

BALL 2: Blakeman - 10.85, Prioleau - 11.20, Average PSI = 11.025. .....PSI % drop = 5.4%

BALL 3: Blakeman - 11.15, Prioleau - 11.50, Average PSI = 11.325. .....PSI % drop = 4.3%

BALL 4: Blakeman - 10.70, Prioleau - 11.00, Average PSI = 10.850. .....PSI % drop = 6.0%

BALL 5: Blakeman - 11.10, Prioleau - 11.45, Average PSI = 11.275. .....PSI % drop = 4.5%

BALL 6: Blakeman - 11.60, Prioleau - 11.95, Average PSI = 11.775. .....PSI % drop = 2.7%

BALL 7: Blakeman - 11.85, Prioleau - 12.30, Average PSI = 12.075. .....PSI % drop = 1.7%

BALL 8: Blakeman - 11.10, Prioleau - 11.55, Average PSI = 11.325. .....PSI % drop = 4.3%

BALL 9: Blakeman - 10.95, Prioleau - 11.35, Average PSI = 11.150. .....PSI % drop = 5.0%

BALL 10: Blakeman - 10.50, Prioleau - 10.90, Average PSI = 10.700. .....PSI % drop = 6.6%

BALL 11: Blakeman - 10.90, Prioleau - 11.35, Average PSI = 11.125. .....PSI % drop = 5.1%

During the Colts game, indoor temp was 75F (297K), outdoor temp was 50F (283K). That is a 5% drop off and therefore, the balls can have a 5% drop off in PSI. Looking at the chart I've made, all the balls fall within those circumstances except for Balls 2, 4, 10, and 11. These 4 are slightly over the 5% drop off but before you jump to conclusion, it was raining and rain can drop the ball off another additional 1-5%. Looking at all this, IGL, simple physics proves the Pats innocence.

...I've even went far enough to lay out all the evidence and proof for you Mak. Hopefully it finally convinces you and gets by that ignorance is bliss wall. :)

If this DeflateWeight thing goes sideways for the Patriots and they don't give The Deflator hush money, I think he's gonna end up suing them for emotional distress, defamation, etc. They claim he's innocent and then suspend him without pay. Then they put out a report pointing out he's overweight and exposing him to public ridicule in an attempt to find alternative meanings for 'The Deflator'.

The only useful contribution.

Yes, that's my question - why suspend them without pay? (originally I heard they were fired).

Sorry Pats fans deflating weight Lolololol what a lame excuse. If this is the best the Pats law team can come up with, see you after 4 games Tom.

This doesn't have much to do with Tom's suspension. This was the Patriots team lawyers who are going to represent the team in their appeal against the league. Tom has his own Super Bowl Champion-esque team of lawyers that will represent him in his appeal.

As for the deflator point, it was a shiny object thrown in to their report to keep the headline readers busy, despite the theory actually originating from the actual text messages between the 2 employees. Many in the media have read the report and admitted there are actually some legitimate points Kraft's law team brought up as their rebuttal (No, the deflator thing isn't one), and they'll sure enough be expanded on in the appeal.

Also just thought of this: It's funny how a guy in a bathroom stall can stick a gauge into 11 balls in under 2 minutes, but the referee's "only had enough time to measure 4 of the Colts balls before time ran out." Certainly it's a lot easier and quicker to stick a needle into a ball and read what the gauge says and pull it back out than it is to stick a needle into a ball, read what the gauge says, wait for enough air to come out so it's where you want it, then take the needle out.

Lol, I posted something about it a couple days ago. It's lost somewhere in this thread now.

I tried changing the subject to Seahawks talk but no one responded either. :sadno:

As for our league, is it overly difficult to make it that your keepers cant be anyone you drafted in the first 2 or 3 rounds? Because if everyone can keep any 3 players, and assuming everyone keeps their first 3 picks, then the 1st overall pick in our draft next season is going to be like Eddie Royal lol.

Well I did say we could keep anyone on are team cuz it was too hard for me to keep track of, but I do like it so you can't keep anyone who was drafted in round 1 or round 2. Traded players can be kept though.

However I have a feeling that over half the league won't submit there keepers.

Once again the cover up is worse than the crime.
