Knew Chip was a phony and a fraud from the get go. He's playing a childs game in a mens league. Never stood a chance.

Go back to college. NFL = NFL. Don't try making it college football. You evolve/adapt to the game, not vise versa. Don't really hate/like Philly but man do I ever feel for that city. Just in the gutters really with every sports team they got. And Chip, he does a demolition job and threw a bigger wrench in their than before.

...How much better the Eagles could've been with the players that were traded out/let go, just something else. Eagles fans should be celebrating. This is a great day for the franchise getting rid of that no good con artist.

Chip didn't fail because of his system he failed because of his ego. When he had the talent it worked fine (keep in mind he took a 4-12 team and went 10-6) but when he cut most of it then it failed. Chip was football smart but not player smart. Since being fired many players have given him credit for being smart but have been critical of how he treated them. The Eagles owner also restated this in his speech on why he fired Chip and when speaking of the next coach he stressed how he wants a coach who understands how to interact with the players.

I don't think the Eagles are screwed though. They still have a lot of talent on the defensive front 7, money to work with, and a new system may change how effective some players are.

I am alright with him gone but wouldn't go that far. He didn't do to the Eagles what Doug Collins did to the 76ers or what Ruben Amaro did to the Phillies.

I really don't have confidence the Eagles will make the right moves in hiring the right people to begin cutting guys and the draft and free agency.

Lurie is too hands on and trusts that coackroach weasel Howie Roseman to hire the new coach wihile getting the power to make all the major personnel decissions again.

Brsdford back on a 2 year bridge deoutside (Mike Wallace) al the top end qbs and skill positions on offense decent draft on corners/safeties and o and D lineman. Short term keeping Bradford is probably the best option. Beef up the o-line in the draft and add depth on the corners and draft an athletic qb mid rounds to develop or sign Kaeperknick /Rg3 to push injury prone Bradford as Bradford

Convert to a 4-3 defense. Re-sign Cox and Curry. Sign Marvin Jones or Mohammed Sanu whichever the Bengals don't keep better than any other Eagles current wrs. Keep Demarco and Matthews adjust the scheme for fuc sakes!!!

Add a proven deep threat wr on the outside to open up things for Ertz,Sproles, and Matthews over the mkddle. Hire a real GM from the Seattle,Pittsburgh, or Green Bay front office organizations that know how to build teams properly through the draft not making risky trades or overpaying mediocre free agents.

Cut Cooper,Celek,Sannicez unless they wanna stay and play for peanuts.

Move Jason Peters to Left guard to shore up the oline. Lane Johnson moves to LT. Eagles then draft a big tackle and a bull dozing guard. Also a corner/safety who likes to hit hard would be nice to get in the draft either Clemson or duke or west Virginia's  Safety.

Happy New Year Sportsx. fans@"!$#%

Most likely to not leave Hue Jackson Marvin Jones or Mohammed Sanu?

I want Marvin Jones. You guys can Re-sign Sanu and draft a big wr or a fast guy like Corey Coleman.

Would have to say Hue if he's offered a head coach spot somewhere. Other than that we really have no reason to let Marvin or Sanu go. At the very least keep one of them until Alford is ready to come in full time.

I guess but both guys could want a bigger role. Does Marvin Jones maybe want to escape AJ Greens shadow for more money elsewhere or a #1 wr role?

I guess, but we'll just have to wait and see about that. We should be more than fine with AJ and Sanu as our go to wide outs if that's the case though.

Well, must say that I didn't see this coming.  At least not this early, maybe black Monday but now?

Eagles Fire Chip Kelly http://www.skysports.com/nfl/news/12118/10114040/philadelphia-eagles-fire-head-coach-chip-kelly

The Eagles might be the most dysfunctional organization in the league right now. The owner is a hack who has blind faith in some college guy named Howie Roseman to be the GM who started as an intern 15 years ago.

Everybody gets fired except Roseman the last 15 years. He had a power struggle with Chip and lost. Now he got the power back.

Eagles are fucced until the idiot owner wakes up hires the right people with NFL experience and then stays out of the way.

The Eagles are still screwed for people that follow this team could do a better job than that slimy weasel Howie Roseman.

Ha-ha. Happy New Years!!!! Guys.:P

That's what I get supporting underdog/losers/dysfunctional franchises with long histories of losing or no championships. Don't know how Cleveland fans do it.

Only way to be happy is to have extremely low expectations I guess. Just gonna watch for entertainment now on. Wins and losses are too painful.
